An atheist, a homosexual, and a vegan walk into a bar, and..

Answer is simple..they are all 'evangelizing" their faiths...what they believe in and hold on to. But still "EVANGELIZING" !! (the very thing they complain about religious ppl doing)..[IMG]

They're also demonstrating their "enlightenment," if another doesnt agree, they are a 'flat earther', and that they are better than 'them!'

In my experience, gay folks and atheists, for the most part, don't really walk around advertising who they are. I suppose that might be a function of where I live, since it's a rural area of a somewhat conservative state. Around here, you're much more likely to hear the hunters and sport's fans volunteering their statuses before you'd hear atheists or gay folks.

I have next to no experience with vegans as I don't spend any time with people who are and have not once ran into one announcing themselves in any establishment.

When getting together in my family during Thxgiving and planning meals, with veganism, lactose intolerance, and gluten sensitive ppl there, not even having not much fun becomes 'no fun!'

Some people in the U.S.....a small percentage....who are Vegan, Gay, Atheist, Christian Evangelist, Extreme Right-Wing....Extreme Left-Wing...etc.....have nothing better to do than announce to everyone around them what their beliefs and politics are.

They are a serious PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!

BUT.....they are only a tiny percentage of our population.

    Religion walked into the world...

...and killed a bunch of innocent people for not believing as they believe...

and then, once society became secular and said no to religious oppression, religious people became "nice guys."

And exaggerate.the importance of these peoples own convictions is what they do.

The vast majority of U.S. Citizens are MODERATE.

I am Moderate and we get a big kick out of seeing a very small percentage of our population fight and yell at each other be it right against left or Religion against Gays...or whatever.

The rest of us...the vast silent majority are too busy WORKING to really care or pay much attention to these people.

And once again some people have to demonstrate their total lack of humor and sense of irrelevance.

I would argue the opposite. Many atheists and homosexuals live in secrecy and fear, from persecution by the intolerant.

Which is allowed as we have free/ish speech. Many people on both the left and the right have a habit of telling others their views whether others want to hear them or not.

Well, let's see, the other day you were claiming I was not a minister at all, so how about getting it straight?

You're the sort of non believer that gives the other sort a bad name.

There is always going to be a small percentage of any population that are strong advocates of their ideology or beliefs and personally I consider them to be a big pain in the ass.

Whether they are knocking on your door at 9 am on a weekend or protesting in a crowd or standing in front of a building holding a Sportsman Show....they are the exception to the vast majority of people who are much more tolerant and open minded.

I'm two of these (atheist and vegan) and frankly unless you have invited me to eat with you you wouldn't know I was vegan and unless you try and tell me about your religion I won;t tell you I don;lt have one..unless its somewhere like here which is a forum for discussion.

Frankly the issue with Christians is that so many of you are so unpleasantly rude. The moment you hear that we don;t beleive in your god you become abusive. I have on several occasions asked for proof of God's existence. Most Christians will be rude, not a very good advertisement for their religion of love is it? However at least it beats Islam, who go a little beyond just rude.

'Its just me' seems pretty rude

If I seem rude it's because I am trying to sound like one of you. Apparently I have succeeded.

its not annoying, you are just rude. I cant say that most Christians are rude what I will say is that on forums if you ask for proof christians will be rude.

So let me ask you a question. given that you cannot prove that God exists and you base your beleif on 'Faith'. Why SHOULD someone have faith in something for which they have no proof and how does one chose what to have faith in?
