If this is Republican Free Market Tyranny, we need more of it.

I have no idea why you thought to bring this story up as some sort of example of what doesn't work.

I don't understand the way the OP thinks and I guess I don't want to know.

In my book, a kid who grew up in a poor neighborhood, and got involved in gangs, then turned his life around and made a success of himself, is the ultimate American dream.

This man deserves high praise, yet the OP condemns him.

My opinion of the OP, never high, has somehow lowered even further.

I thought a gang-member making something of himself was a stereotypical liberal wet dream? What's the buzzword? At Risk???

But it is the point. You want minorities to have special privileges, you've said so. If this was a young minority who had pulled himself out of poverty to become a successful business man, you would be praising him. So what if he doesn't have a degree? He is successful because he has the brains to do the job. That's the American dream and it happens to people of all colors every day.

Oh stop it. No one really believes this crap you are spouting. You are just trolling. Next you'll be calling for concentration camps for anyone who is a registered republican.

No he is no Bernie Madoff but the intention of the OP was to highlight how loose the free market is with lack of regulations where any criminal without an education can go on to make millions from it...

You see with responsible democratic regulations on the free market, it would not be so easy to make millions as the chap in this article did.

For example the founder of Home Depot is criticizing this administration because he said if it were like it is today when he started he would not have been able to build his empire.
