#1 Fangirl Ann Coulter has the intellectual honesty to realize she's maybe backed a bad horse. Trump's latest sellout on the budget has her questioning the future.

If you backed Trump for "BUILD THE WALL!", as most did, it's time to admit to yourself that he's screwed you bigly. Rationalization is a psychic refuge but it's 180 degrees from reality.

Read it all. Coulter offers a cold does of what's up and where you stand.

I wouldn't pay the slightest attention to the arch-politicised Democrat bullshit from the New York Times. But without wasting anyone's time with press propaganda, Trump supporters, including myself, have every reason to be underwhelmed. What happened to the immigration executive order? Why is he adding to, rather than draining, "the swamp"? Why has he gone from EU antagonist to EU supporter? Why is he intervening in the middle east? Why is he contemplating some kind of Syrian refugee programme?

Fact is, the campaign rhetoric was most likely bullshit. I'll be delighted to be proven wrong.

I couldn't care less if the wall gets built or not, a lot of the things I wanted him in office for have already happened.

Illegal immigration has slowed, for multiple reasons.
    We pulled out of TPP
There are talks of renegotiating NAFTA
Provisions to alter the ACA are going through the senate as we speak.

That's pretty much the sum of what I wanted. Anything else at this point will be a bonus.

Trump should explain his shifting positions. If he does not at least come clean about these apparent shifts in his position, then you can be fairly certain that even Trump was not what he appeared to be when campaigning and was faking.

However, right now, I think he had meant most if not all of what he was saying before he was elected. I believe that what we're seeing here is "Mr. Trump goes to Washington". It's changing him as it changes (almost?) everybody who goes in.

You sold out your country over 4 issues?
"Renegotiating" but the results don't matter.
Provision to alter the ACA... but the results don't matter.
Pulled out of TPP and gave China a huge advantage, and the results don't matter.

It doesn't take much to make you happy.

The choices were Trump or Clinton, both of which are terrible. Would you propose I backed the candidate who would have directly instigated conflict with Russia instead?

Ironically, no, it doesn't take much to make me happy. In fact, that's the exact point. If no one is trying to actively make me happy, that means my life isn't being meddled with. Less meddling means less government power and control.

That is, truly, what does make me happy. Lol, you people just... do not learn your lesson, do you? Please, by all means, keep on with the rhetoric that anyone who voted for Trump is anti-United States. Please keep accusing anyone who voted for the Don of being a racist, islamaphobic bigot. Please keep telling everyone that dares to hold a conservative viewpoint that they are responsible for the death of a nation.

If that's all it takes to keep conservatives in the White House, whom are a better choice typically than liberals, then that's something I can personally bear.

It he caves on "the wall" it really will be game over. He can provably get away with everything else, but not that.

Yup. It was either Trump, a career businessman who may have done some sketchy stuff, or a blatantly corrupt politician and serial liar who the left only wanted to elect because she was a woman...

I voted 3rd party but now am supporting Trump more and more.

Pretty much anyone who has common sense knows already that the wall isn't going to happen. Yeah, he's going to make a push for it, but all of the courts are going to shoot it down, just like they did with the travel ban. If the courts don't do it, the liberals are going to organize riots, protests, and probably hire people to interfere. He doesn't actually have to build the wall, he just needs to make it look like he tried, and that will probably be enough for him to survive.

The left seems always fascinated that everyone else in the country tempers their political support on results rather than maintaining this or that crooked political machine at all costs as "Messiah" to keep graft troughs up and running. A reasonable adult nonleft person expressing even mild concern or disagreement with this or that policy will inevitably be shoehorned into the childish leftist absolutist way in which they view the world, black and white hats, pure good and pure evil, unwavering total support or disgust and hatred. Coincidentally, this is exactly how personality disordered people view the world, as opposite poles.

So to reasonable people, concern expressed a few months into an administration is just that, concern. To leftists though, it's going to be some "admission that they backed the wrong horse," some hyperbolic absolute. This will continue during the whole Trump Administration once the hyperfeelz mania peters out. It's a sign of desperation on the left, trying to create a reality that doesn't exist with the streams of BS that worked pre-net.

Lol...If someone like Coulter is already seeing through Trump, then it's worse than I thought.
But this is dishonest. Any American over the age of, say 30, has absolutely no excuse for being surprised by Trump.
Trump has a long and sordid historical record and there is ample testament to his deplorable character going back decades.

Every Trump endeavor includes a heaping helping of bullshit. The presidency is the pinnacle, maximum Trump bullshit.

I cannot imagine it getting better.

I mean that he was being purposely deceptive, vs his just being clueless and really believing what he was saying. My personal feeling is that he believed and meant what he said then. He probably thought at the time that he could do all of those things. Why? Because he has a narcissistic tendency to overestimate his own knowledge and abilities, and also because he lacked experience and wisdom about how government operates, about how a politician, and especially a president, actually operates, and about what their powers really are. He went for the presidency because he looked at it as being "CEO" of the US. His EOs and his belief that he's accomplishing something with them also indicates that he still thinks he is a CEO. He doesn't fully understand the difference, and didn't get that at all yet during the campaign.

Coulter was Trump crazy during the primaries. She has some cachet and no doubt shifted votes.

Tell me, as of today, how many of the 16 other R contenders do you think would be doing a better job than Trump in the hypothetical world.

    I believe most or all.

Coulter is easily spooked. She said much the same thing when Trump went to Mexico and the entire media declared that Trump was going to back off his immigration policies. Instead he gave a speech that night and double downed on it! The media was totally freaked out! Truly a great troll...

Q.E.D. "Trump crazy." LOL can you be any more biased and slanted? She was one of few vocal Trump supporters and having people laugh in her face probably caused her to be more defensive of it and to double down with the book.

None of the others would have campaigned as furiously and intelligently as Trump did. It would have been Romney/McCain rehash. Clinton would be President. The end of the United States as anything other than a big pool of money paid out to foreign interests and crooked machine politicians of both parties. Thank goodness Trump won.

No faithful American would agree to the TTP, which allowed foreign corporations to sue the US. A Court where we lacked jurisdiction is unacceptable and put the nail in the coffins of any deal.

And as far as China 'gaining an edge'? China, and the other 100+ countries in the world are all vying for a place in the marketplace. No one is going to cut off a mass consumer like the United States. The idea that we had to capitulate, just so that China didn't get in, is the reason "We did those kind of deals."

    It's called self-sabotage.

It wasn't a dodge. I was a Rand Paul supporter, but in hindsight, that was unrealistic and HRC would be POTUS. But even so, your question was meaningless and unanswerable to start with and has nothing to do with the topic of -your- thread.

But to answer the thread topic in another way, Coulter is a smart, rich pundit who makes her money off clicks and appearances that lead to book sales and publicity. "I love Trump!!" gets her nothing at this point, and as others point out, trolling folks like you does, gets her on the front page of Drudge for instance, one of the most travelled sites on the net. A far RW pundit whom you probably hate got you to work for her by making a thread about her. LOL, good one Ann.
