Did Rand Paul advocate taking veterinary grade Ivermectin?

Provide a study about the long term consequences of using it on Covid patients, please.

None are named. If you want concession that maybe it’s made up, sure. It’s possible. But this denial doesn’t prove it is.

So you are simply defending a retracted story.

You don’t even know where he works, how can you claim it’s debunked? T

Thanks, Mello Guy. This article is EXACTLY the reason I don't pay attention to any "news". I don't really understand how anybody could read this and think it's true. Here's why.

    Image36.jpg

Hospitals are not like accounting. It's not First In, First Out. It's MOST LIFE THREATENING to LEAST LIFE THREATENING.

Secondly, neighboring towns and communities often share the workload for overages so there are emergency services (ie. paramedics, fire fighters, sometimes law enforcement should the need arise). Almost every area has at least on Flight for Life helicopter so there are more options available than what is being implied.

The ONLY way something like what is described here could happen is if ALL of those options were gone and how could that happen unless there was some kind of gun fight that somehow didn't make the morning paper?

Beyond the above, it just doesn't make sense that a person (whomever that is around the "gunshot victim" isn't going to just say "Oh, well. I tried. They said there are no ambulances available." They are most likely going to try to transport the injured person to some other health care service providers.

And, due to the specialized equipment required for treating COVID patients, other illnesses and injuries, of a less immediate concern will be re-routed to Urgent Care Centers or even midwives (in cases related to women's health and pregnancies, for example). It has been widely reported since early last year that doctors and nurses were asked to come out of retirement to help in the areas where they were needed the most. In some cases, dentists (they are doctors) answered the calls for help. Huge numbers of medical care providers traveled the whole country helping other communities.

So, for me, on the surface, this pings as Fear Factor COVID-Style. I can't imagine a reasonable person accepting this as some kind of end-of-the-world Armageddon true situation at all. It's just sensationalism (IMO).

It’s not retracted. It’s updated with a denial from one hospital that he never mentioned.

That is not the issue because you haven't even quoted Rolling Stone or the AP. The issue IS that, inadvertently or not, you are promoting it politically. Same as you (your side) did with HQC. You were wrong then. Likelihood that you are also wrong now exceeds all thresholds. In the mean time, people with Covid who take this drug can suffer... who knows what consequences. And you and your source focus on whether somebody quoted somebody who maybe misspoke and maybe corrected themselves (I don't know, because the OP attacks an article that is not quoted on the OP), at a moment when what is needed is for people to NOT rely on snake-oil remedy for purely political reasons. And THAT is the same as promoting it's use.

Which ones? And if so, why could the left not seem to find one that was denying gunshot patients treatment because of Ivermectin poisoning? Is there one in OK at all where this is true?

Seems one of the other hospitals that he "services" was also surprised at the claim.

Another report from KFOR from Aug. 25 showed that there were 11 overdoses of ivermectin in the entire state of Oklahoma. KFOR spoke to Scott Schaeffer, managing director of the Oklahoma Center for Poison and Drug Information, who said: "Since the beginning of May, we've received reports of 11 people being exposed to ivermectin. Most developed relatively minor symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and dizziness, though there's the potential for more serious effects including low blood pressure and seizures with an overdose, as well as interactions with medications such as blood thinners."

McElyea is also listed as working at Integris Grove Hospital as a general family practitioner, not in the emergency room. Zero Hedge reported that a call to the hospital provided no insight as to any ivermectin overdoses; however, a man who answered the phone "sounded quite amused," the outlet reported.

Especially when India and Mexico City had amazing results when they turned to Ivermectin in mass. These stories have near black out status here in the U.S.

I watch Al Jeezera International. It's a great unbiased news source for International News. With them, Ivermectin is covered... the results are excellent.

Big Pharma and their $ recipients (Establishment Republicans and Democrats) want no cheap solution. They are too busy making billions.

Japan was just in the news for stopping use of the Moderna vaccine. Some of it was found to be contaminated with stainless steel particles. At first, they tried to say it was rubber from people jabbing the vials incorrectly, but it then came out that it was stainless steel. How the heck does that wind up in a vaccine?

Provide one for the vaccines or Remdesivir.

Or ANY treatment for COVID, for that matter, lol. Wow, you stepped right into that one.

Yes, and Integris seemed surprised by the claim as well. So which hospitals (PLURAL, according to the doctor) are experiencing this epidemic of livestock Ivermectin poisoning that is so bad gunshot victims aren't getting treated????

So you’re saying being approved by Japan doesn’t mean it’s safe?

Wonderful!!! So they retracted. And nobody died because of it. When will those who promoted snake-oil remedies like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine and... disinfectant.... can be used to treat Covid retract? Or who have promoted any form of disinformation about preventing infections? Especially because people who believe those CAN die because of the disinformation.

I have said this hundreds of times: there is no shame in making a mistake and retracting. When have you seen the right retract from ANY of their claims that have cost thousands of lives?

There are other health systems. One of them denies his claims. That doesn’t debunk the claims.

No need, they were linked in the articles in the OP. Did you not read either of them?

I wasn't wrong, then, either, but feel free to quote me.

Completely agree he needs to name names if he wants his claims to be taken seriously.
