A few states have started enacting laws to "protect" children from Drag Shows. Laws prohibiting a minor from attending drag shows and things like that.

Well since we can show with hard numbers that children face a greater threat from religious leaders than from drag queens when are the same states going to start passing laws that prohibit children from attending religious services?

There’s a reason conservatives tend to oppose sex education...

some do-its based on archaic religious myths. However, there also is a valid concern over what is essentially proselytizing by the LBQTXYZ activists

Children lacking in sexual education are also more likely to be the victims of molestation and sexual assault. Wonder why anyone would want that.

Could you define proselytizing? How is this proselytizing being done? Who are these LBQTXYZ activists?

They should definitely receive education in staying away from the modern equivalent of a guy in a wig driving a dirty white van with "kandy" scrawled on the side.

I guess kids twelve and under should be left to be victims of molestation and sexual assault then?

Drag shoes aren’t sexual education. Sorry, the non-sequitur has confused me.

Now that just leaves their close family members, religious leaders, and any number of people they would expect to be able to trust.

Sexual education, among many benefits, helps children understand what is happening to them when they are being molested, and know what to do/how to vocalize what they’ve experienced.

well I wasn't the one who started talking about sex ed in this thread-and I understand that sex ed is not the same as men prancing around in fishnets and heels

The reason I brought up sex ed in this thread was because of the whole discourse around Drag Queens. People in the LGBTQ community are being called groomers and pedophiles by people who tend to oppose sex ed for children.

It just seems strange to me that a group so vocal about calling other people pedophiles is so eager to avoid the most effective steps towards protecting children.

So your theory is that dressing men as women and simulating sex acts helps prevent that.

well lets see-I fully support sex education for kids, I do not oppose most abortion, I fully support gay rights, gay marriage, gays serving in the military but I am skeptical as to the value of promoting drag shows to younger children

I look forward to you explaining how you came to that conclusion.

Drag Queens have little, if anything at all, to do with sex ed.

    Great!

Why do you disapprove of family friendly drag events?

I don't really care one way or another but I do see a political agenda behind those who are pushing such shows. my son is 25 so it does not personally affect me.

Most things people do are political. In this case, both supporting and opposing family friendly drag shows is political. Why do you lean one way and not the other?

No. It's not a parents right to expose children to simulated sex acts.

Are you familiar with the concept of laws?

Do you consider simulated sex acts to be family friendly?

No, I’m asking you a legitimate question. Do you believe simulated sex acts to be family friendly? If not, why would you anticipate them being on display at a family friendly drag event?
