Oddly enough, I didn't see much coverage of this on the MSM today. No worries, it's just another 'mostly peaceful protest'. I thought I heard once that protesting at the Capital building could be considered an insurrection. Guess that's no longer the case.

Yes, it's so sad that people are taking to the streets to support Hamas, but that's what we have here. And yes, I said Hamas and not Palestinians. I don't know where I saw it, but in one of the news articles I read about this, I saw a picture of a masked man spraying Hamas in bright red on a statue or something. I'm sure if he's a foreigner and gets identified, he will be deported.

Burning an American flag may not be a crime, but starting a fire in public place certainly is. Especially when you use lighter fluid and start waving it all around.

I guess it was a "state crime" when an 80 year old Grandmother had her picture taken on the Captial steps that warranted an FBI raid and jail time, but defacing public property and starting fires in pubic "is totally cool".

Let me ask you a serious question.

These protesters removed and burned an American flag. Then then raised the flag of a country that supports terrorism and spray painted ‘Hamas’ on American statues.

With that said, if I removed a blm flag, burned it, replaced it with a KKK flag and sprayed white supremacist graffiti on a George Floyd statue, what would the left’s response be? I know no one will be deported, but there would be outrage, riots, looting and arson. Plus the people who removed the blm flag and burned it would be arrested for hate crimes.

Do you think the DC protesters should receive the same treatment? And have you noticed how no one on the right is rioting, looting or burning buildings?

It was covered by every outlet. There were several thousand protestors, so I'm not sure is "massive" applied, but whatever floats the boat I guess.

It had nothing to do with communism, but I agree that protesting would probably be criminalized under Trump.

I don't agree with their cause, but in this country people are still free to express their opinion. I read 23 were arrested for spray painting etc, other stuff which crossed the line.

Why do you think I want the J6 protestors locked away? As far as I am concerned, they were expressing their first amendment rights too, and should not be locked up. Why do you have double standards, wanting the J6 protestors to be free to protest, but not giving the same rights to protestors who want to end the slaughter of innocents? It is commies who want to lock people up or exile them for protesting. We don't do that here in the USA. But our Uniparty doesn't like it when people speak out against their power base, whether it is J6 protestors or Peace protestors, or any other protest. Civil disobedience is a time-honored tradition in America. Don't be a Uniparty lemming.

 

I don't agree with burning the American flag, but I full support their right to do so. Those who spray painted should be fined for vandalism, but ONLY those who actually vandalized should be fined. Protests should NOT be broken up over those acts. Identify the criminals, and fine them at a later time. Free speech is more important than cracking down on vandalism. Everyone else, I fully support their right to get their message out there, regardless on whether I support that message or not.
The same goes for J6, BLM, or whatever other protests are out there. Fine those responsible for actual crimes, and ONLY those people. Everyone else , should be allowed to say whatever the hell they want, whether they are Nazis, Communists, peace protestors, BLM, pro-lifers, pro-choicers, environmentalists, or whoever the hell else decides they want to protest.
