You've given no proof. Saying that Wikipedia is a better source than any source you have provided is not saying that truth is relative nor is it an approval for slavery.

In this day and age when the Western Taliban and Politically Correct determine what we read, see and hear, it's refreshing to know that someone else has a healthy respect for history's realities.

Tolerance, open mindedness and critical thinking abilities seen to be hard to find these days.

I saw the renaming, and my first question was, wtf is a cavazos.... Does it mean ghetto in liberal language studies?? I kid. Killeen truly is the garden spot of TX... Or is this a bastardization of "head of cabbage", ... or "waterhouse on stilts"??

I know, we're simply virtue signaling here, "first hispanic general" in the us.. well, unless you discount all the mexican generals in TX , but who cares, right??

You vote, by your own admission for democrats. If they aren't attempting to flood the nation will illegal labor who will effectively be slaves in our nation, what did you think would happen? You dig socialism, you vote for it, and you chastise others for a fantasy that just doesn't have merit. Sorry. Every time you support Biden, all I see is you waiving the crisp white hood of the KKK. I mean, if you don't vote for him, you aint black... Right?

I have voted for both republicans and democrats as well as third party. I vote for the candidate, not the party.

Illegal workers tend to come here voluntarily. They want to work.

I'm very likely to the right of you on economics.

Then I suggest you see a professional about that. That isn't healthy and it is extremely irrational.

You mean the thing I criticized as being racist?

I told you not to worry about it, I had no expectations a democrat would honor his promise.

And it was my mistake to have the expectation that you would actually read the post.

So when are we going to erase Washington's name off of everything because he was a slave owner?

Washington was never our country's military enemy.

Since you still refuse to read, I'll try a dozen more times:
I'm against naming military bases after our military enemies. That's it. That's all I'm saying. None of your comparisons address this.

We'll get there eventually. Each spasm of hysteria brings it's own version of social justice.

This country was founded on rebellion and insurrection. Of course he didn't go to war to preserve slavery because he was too busy owning slaves because he made that a thing in the country he established. I know that's messing up your little attempt to downplay what he did.

It's also built on "stolen land"..... Even though the Indians claim no one can own the land so I don't know how you can steal something someone doesn't own.

And I also think it is a bad idea for England to name their bases after our folks. We've covered this. Of course you still won't read what I wrote. Feel free to come back when you do.

The One not reading is you. How can you deny the pain of the people oppressed by the United States?

I don't. And if it were on-topic or relevant to anything I had said then we could discuss it.

So owning slaves for 77 years is fine as long as you didn't go to war to preserve it?

Slaves for 5 years or slaves for 77..... Things that make you go hhmmm....?

    Another reading fail.

Lol, dude, the Confederacy only had slaves for that long because it only LASTED for that long. And slavery was the cornerstone of their country. It wasn't just something they did. It was THE REASON they existed. Catch up on some history.

You catch up on some history buddy. Where do you think slavery was legal for 77 years? I'll give you a hint.... The United States of America.

And another reading failure. The US was not founded with slavery as our cornerstone. We didn't leave England FOR slavery. We didn't create our country FOR slavery. We didn't design our flag to celebrate white supremacy. And we got rid of slavery. The US can stand for something other than slavery. The Confederacy can't.

    Another projection on your part.

So how long do you think it took for them to establish slavery? It wasn't day one was it?

Anyone who says something is ignorant as the Confederate Battle flag was designed for white supremacy is very ignorant

Then you don't know what the word "projection" means.

The Confederacy? Yes. It was day one. Actually, it started well before day one.

Did I say the battle flag? No, I said the Confederate flag. I'm talking about the actual flag used to represent the Confederacy. The real thing. But you already knew that, which is why you tried switching gears to talking about the battle flag instead.

Cavazos was a general, not a cabbage.

Oh, is it? So a virtue signaling exercise. Why not name it for a general that actually won something? Democrats thought they'd win hispanic votes in TX by doing this... so stupid.

Why not name it for a general who actually served our country instead of one who waged war against our country under a flag dedicated to white supremacy?

Also, since you apparently missed it, the Confederacy lost.

Clearly you missed the whole reconciliation thing.. but who cares, vote for the cabbage... less filling.

And since you brought it up, why is it democrats who always seem to be the white supremacists? Seen the news in LA today?
