Vaccinated? The delta variant doesn't care.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/israel-faces-virus-surge-vaccinated-082159043.html
Israel faces Covid surge as virus circulates
    even among vaccinated

Israel has recommended vaccinating teenagers following several coronavirus outbreaks clustered around schools, with even fully vaccinated people contracting the virus as authorities blame the more infectious delta variant. . .

    :nana: vaccinated snobs!
Vaccinated should be very afraid too.

The evidence has been building for several weeks, maybe a month or more (as in India) that introduction of the injections into a given area or society actually increases the number of cases.

Why Be Afraid of the the Old Delta Variant
when the New Delta Variant Mutation Has Arrived.

    https://news.yahoo.com/explainer-delta-variant-coronavirus-k417n-094930268.html
Explainer: What is the Delta variant of coronavirus
    with K417N mutation?

India said on Wednesday it has found around 40 cases of the Delta coronavirus variant carrying a mutation that appears to make it more transmissible, and advised states to increase testing. . .

    See Above
    BEWARE The DELTA VARIANT Mutation

    https://news.yahoo.com/delta-variant-rates-doubled-us-094737988.html
Delta-variant rates doubled in the US in 2 weeks, Fauci said:
from 9.9% to 20.6%. It could derail the US COVID-19 recovery.

    FIRE FAUCI
    Too much emphasis on vaccine
Not enough on anti viral medicines
Developing a Covid vaccine is like
    developing a "common cold" vaccine.
Not Smart due to mutation rates!

Nearly every new Covid-19 death is now entirely preventable, CDC director says

(CNN)The dangerous Delta variant poses a risk as the United States works to ease out of the Covid-19 pandemic, but experts say the nation has the tools needed to overcome the threat -- if the public takes advantage of them.

"Covid-19 vaccines are available for everyone ages 12 and up," US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said Tuesday at a White House briefing. "They are nearly 100% effective against severe disease and death -- meaning nearly every death due to Covid-19 is particularly tragic, because nearly every death, especially among adults, due to Covid-19 is at this point entirely preventable."

Those still dying from Covid-19 in the US are "overwhelmingly" unvaccinated, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNN.

Thanks to the vaccines, we have gone from actual public health crisis to self-imposed public health crisis and are now entering Darwin Award territory.

    With successive mutations
any vaccine will be less & less effective.
New & updated vaccines will be required like flu shots

    Get It Or Not
A vaccine not based on surface antigens / spikes
    is required.
The whole world is not going to line up for annual
    Covid vaccination.
Lucky polio stopped variants at 3.

Some viruses are more prone to mutating in such a way than others. So far, this one has not mutated in such a way that the vaccines don't work.

So, why are you even bothering with this non-argument? Are you childishly flailing about for excuses not to get it?

Buys more breathing space to deal with it. Better than having one variant and being treated with Ivermectin and then perhaps catching the Delta variant.

    Wanna bet?

    Message interest

From what I have read the most optimistic assessments
have been they work, but to a lesser efficiency.

If you believe it. Check out the recent Israeli experience.
Meanwhile each mutation over generations makes it less
likely the first vaccine will work well enough.

Adenovirus such as common cold virus tend to do that.

All you're doing is generalizing and failing to cite any relevant data where this virus is concerned, and you seem to be arguing for argument's sake. Nothing you're saying provides any reason not to get vaccinated and help bring this pandemic to an end.

Well I have taken virology courses (have you @Durandal ? )
and know what an adenovirus is capable of doing, such as evading
vaccines over time faster than influenza virus.

And there is the current Israeli experience with a vaccinated
    population.

You're still not citing data relevant to this virus and pandemic. I can and will: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/ar...cines-are-effective-against-the-delta-variant

PHE looks at how likely people who had an infection with the delta variant were to need treatment in the hospital.

The report puts the protection from requiring hospital treatment for COVID-19 at 71% after one dose and at 92% after two doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine was 94% effective at preventing hospitalization after the first dose and 96% after two doses.

Speaking of severity, the news is consistent that vaccinated individuals who contract the virus overwhelmingly have mild cases, which indicates that they are still receiving protection, and that is the most important thing. Better to get the sniffles than wind up on oxygen.

I'm scheduled for my preferred J&J shot at home
tomorrow, June 25 - California Center of The Universe date.
Have faith, previous scheduling has failed to happen.

J&J has a record that those vaccinated are more likely
to catch it but, least likely to need hospitalization or die
    from it.

I'm still sitting on the fence, covid free and vaccine free. But may soon get the Moderna vaccine, which comes with its own risks as well. Vaers reports many deaths from vaccines, along with other complications, so it's not like there's no risk with that either. It's sort of like do nothing, or pick your poison I guess. I have a local Smith's store pharmacy that supposedly allows walk-in vaccinations. Good luck with your vaccination tomorrow, if it so occurs.

If New COVID-19 Variants Need to Be Taken Very Seriously, Why Isn’t Biden Closing the Border?

    Cuz, Reasons!

"Israel, which has been dealing with the Delta variant for a while, indicates that the new COVID-19 variant is not making people seriously ill as often as previous waves. Eran Segal, a computational biologist at the Weizmann Institute", analyzed the data and reported:
