i nominate this thread even though i disagree with globalization since it benefits the rich presently, it shows that if wealth was fairly distributed from rich to poor it could work to bring different cultures together.

It's easy to get lost in the excitement and emotion of political campaign. There are certainly candidates I have trouble reading about without my blood pressure rising. But Natty has hit on the head with this one. This isn't a popularity pole or tug-of-war with the oval office... it's a job interview. And it's time we got serious about our problems, get honest about some solutions, and get a person in the white house ready and willing to do some real work.

America belongs to the American citizen. Giving up is no more an option than doing so while swimming out to sea. No one is going to fix this country but us, and fixing it starts with hiring some good employees.

The following appeal to the American public get's my nomination for thread of the month. Good message Natty.

(link to original post) If you agree, like Natty's post — here and in the original thread.

    Best post.

Logical and obvious, cutting through the rhetoric that often taints tragic events.

This is another great thread opener for discussion by a long time Political Forum member that has always maintained the highest standards in addressing topics for discussion and debate. It exposes political hysteria being generated in the United States recently based upon empirical statistical evidence. While we worry about "terrorism" it's really not the threat in the United States that some crazy politicians attempt to imply in stirring up their constituents.

An excellent summation regarding the myth of the inevitable race war.

This opinion piece is a gutting rebuke based on observable actions and the lack of fruition regarding the "race war' predictions that have been made for nearly 60 years, properly relegating them to the fantastic perpetuated by the anonymity of the internet.
