Study was based on an analysis of 2012 - 2015 audits when Obama was President. Who was his VP?

I don't know how Nixon entered the conversation, but like Biden, Nixon was a Progressive. As the President who gave us the EPA and the Clean Air Act, Nixon was more Progressive than the crazies running around the party of slavery, Jim Crow, the KKK, and Segregation who now claim to be more tolerant than normal Americans.

Nixon never even THOUGHT of ripping off the middle class and poor to pay off college loans of the elite. Nixon never THOUGHT of crippling the oil industry to meet some crazy tree hugger dream. Nixon never THOUGHT of abandoning an ally with his tail between his legs. Nixon never THOUGHT of allowing felons to run free in the streets. Nixon never THOUGHT of arming terrorists. To draw analogies between Nixon and today's wacky left... just doesn't work.

First sentence is a total self reflection. Second sentence is another gas light partisan spin. The waste number of beneficiaries are not the wealthy. Now, go get some more B/S talking points.

So you think the poor have as many college grads in their families as the elite? Really? Wow. How old are you?

I never said "all elite qualify". I never said that. Please do not make false claims. What I said was that elites have more college grads in their families than the poor. MORE ... not ALL. Very few things in life are 100%. But a lot MORE elites will get college reimbursement than non-elites.

my background is also military. it is the job of a marine sgt to turn the "wrong type" into passable soldiers. a discussion we might have at a later date. (hell. the russians are turning their "wrong types" right or getting them killed. after the t-90s have turned kiev into a parking lot we may need to do a little of the same.)

but certainly there are inner cities and indian reservations that might benefit from more young medical people, teachers etc etc etc

Asking to not make false claims while doing so is the true Trumpian victim mentality way along with the other nonsense you posted. Most college elites have already paid off any debt, this is targeted to the ones that can't get out from under. Now, the rich always benefit regardless, just look at PPP, so you need better talking points.

I think I understand what you are saying and I largely agree. In the late 1970's, as a young LT I Commanded a Basic Training Company at Ft Leonard Wood. There is indeed a duty to help marginal folks become successful warriors. I have thousands of stories you'd probably enjoy. Mainly, I found that if a young recruit wanted to get out, you'd have better results going with the flow than confronting them. One huge mountain of a young man came in during my "Open Door" and told me he wanted out. I said that would be ok. He wasn't good enough to be a soldier. He was a bum and he'd be better off living in the back of a gas station pumping gas for a living. Next thing you know, he was taking off his field jacket saying he was going to kick my ass for calling him a bum. I reached down under my desk and got a bunk adaptor (you remember those pipe-like things) that I kept there to slam down on my desk in such cases. That stunned and stopped him cold and I said he could prove me wrong. We talked a little more and he left my office determined to show me he was wasn't a bum. He became an exemplary trainee in the following weeks.
My usual strategy was to tell them I couldn't just discharge them, but I'd start a file and if things didn't work out, I'd have the information required to take action. They usually turned around and became successful.
But you can't save everyone (I used that phrase as the title for my Master's dissertation). And I also felt a responsibility to prevent unsolvable problems to become someone else's problem in a tactical unit. I remembered how thousands of such Soldiers were sent to Germany during the Viet Nam War because they were considered unfit to be in the reality of combat.
Not that it was always about solving problems. I received a phone call not long ago from a General Officer who thanked me for helping him into the West Point Prep School when he was a young recruit. That was in the 70's and my Drills remained in touch with each other. They contacted me a few years ago and re-established the family we were then. Yes, I said family. It was the best assignment I ever had.

What false claim did I make? Name it. Your use of the term "Trumpian" tells us all about your lack of maturity, BTW. Adults don't have to use insulting terms to communicate. What "other nonsense" did I post? You can't name any specifics? I didn't think you could. Most college grads have paid off their debt? Then why is Biden doing this at all? By the way, have you seen the lengthy list of members of Congress that still carry college debt?

What false claim did I make? You go first since this is the lifeline you chose to cling to. And be ready for the deep end. As for the faux whining you are doing, you also went first. If you feel you can dish it out, man up and take it.

Most college elites never had college debt. Rule #1 of being rich -- Always collect rent and interest, never pay it. :buggered:

The rich get college degrees more than lower income folks. This gift on education loans is mainly for the rich.

    • Current U.S. Student Loan Debt = est. $1.75 Trillion

    • 1 in 4 Americans have student loan debt: An est. 44.7 Million people

    • Average student loan debt amount = $37,172

    • Average student loan payment = $393/month

College completion rates for wealthy students have soared in 40 years but barely budged for low-income students, leading to a yawning gap in educational attainment between rich and poor that could have long-lasting implications for the socioeconomic divide. https://www.wsj.com/articles/big-ga...ates-for-rich-and-poor-study-finds-1422997677

I see you are now galloping away from the victim mentality straw man you failed to construct earlier but the Trumpian whine is still going. What claim did I make again?
Who is this forgiveness targeting? Who claimed the PPP while we are at it?

PPP? Pelopenesian People's Party? Peruvian Party Pooper? Pickled Purple Peppers? Passionate people's Preoccupation?
Obviously, based on my last post which proved elites have the most college degrees, Biden's free education efforts are aimed at helping his elite buddies.

Well an uniformed post says so much. As for proving anything, that's deeply steeped in irony given the source and deseminator of said "proof". Paycheck Protection Program, hope this helps.

Paycheck Protection Program? Excuse me, I was never in the employ of any organization in which my paycheck was ever threatened by anything. The very concept is foreign to me.

Now you have reduced your "debate" and position to the goal post move deflection. That, simply, was too easy...

I'm not deflecting anything. I'm serious... and interested. What could possibly threaten so many paychecks that they needed protection. I spent my career working for the government and large aerospace firms like Boeing and Lockheed. I can't imagine a paycheck being threatened by anything. I'm not "deflecting" (whatever that means... I don't do "adolescent-speak").

You protest too much regarding adolescent speak, obviously it's the denial projection thing at work as one's chosen nic speaks volumes re that very topic. Now go and research the PPP and apply "your" logic and measure to it. Get back to me when you see the light and have proverbial legs to stand on.
