You very obviously don’t know me ed. I do not usually pay attention to any news source. I will always use CNN or MSNBC to make my points.
It’s simply hilarious to me that you took the energy to find the worst idiots to try and prove your point. I could do the same but it is so obvious to everyone on this site that there are idiots on both sides. Good effort though. If you and those like you made half that kind of effort to unite with your fellow citizens and fight against the politicians on both sides that are so clearly ruining our country we may actually get something accomplished.

 

I AM a skeptic; I take very little for granted. And I know a lot about human nature- I know that some believe their own lies, and literally can lie thinking themselves doing the right thing by distorting truth. So those who manipulate truth do so for different reasons, but it's still altering truth. You don't have to make up or distort things to lie- all you have to do is selectively omit parts of the story, and the implication of it changes. every part of a story can be true- and still be communicating lies. This is one of the most irritating habits we see in the left's mindset; selectively ignoring what conflicts with what they want to believe, and arriving at conclusions on half-truths. AKA- lies by omission. Human weakness, but inexcusable in my view.

The NYT is not a consistently credible source. The policy on the wall may claim the stand for truth, but they employ writers who bring bias to stories- and editors who allow that to go to press.
Unfortunately, the days of truly objective reporting are probably history, most news sources allow the personal views of their management and staff to bias their reporting.

That means it is up to the viewers/readers to develop an instinct that alerts them to misleading information- and the spectrum of it is unlimited. It's also up to us to hone our own values and character so that we can recognize when we are being deceived- including when we are the ones deceiving ourselves. It takes a strong person to accept being wrong, being able to adjust and accept truth regardless of it being comfortable or not. I am a very strong person in this regard.

 

The man is not a hero. A hero does not put the lives of others at risk and this isn’t the first time. A hero does not take advantage of a terrible situation to make money. You know who the hero was that day? It wasn't that fist pumping felon. It was the man who died using his body to shield his family from the bullets.

If you did see it, you would have been a strong Biden critic for years.
Not that you would be lonesome, never in my life seen so many people deceiving themselves about a politician- or a politician so devoid of both competence and character that ever gained such a powerful position.
