OK, so, then Psaki tried to defend him.

I think it's inexcusable. When will these politicians learn to uphold for themselves, the very mandates they want the public to uphold??

Sure, sure, Psaki, people sometimes don't put the mask back as fast after they finish eating, etc., but the President of the United States is not some random person. Leading by example is important, and a president should be thinking of it at all times.

Sure, sure, the last guy used to mock masks, and berate WH Press Corps journalists who were masked, praising the ones who weren't... but two wrongs don't make one right.

Here is the ONLY thing a politician should say after something like this (or his press secretary):

"Oops, that was bad. My fault. I apologize. I'll make sure I don't do it again."

Going on and on to justify it, only makes it even lamer.

But, if they apologized and said, "I'll make sure I don't do it again", why should we believe them? Mask mandates are only for the other people. Lefties of all kinds have been caught violating not only mask mandates in general, but sometimes their very own mask mandates. Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot is the most recent example.

It's also time that the left came clean regarding masks and admitted that the kinds of mask most people wear are only 10% effective and that during mask mandates, cases actually increase, not decrease. The best they really do is limit the spread by a factor of 10%, meaning that mask wearing reduces virus spread by 10%, while cases increase by 90% instead of 100%.

The left also need to admit that vaccinations actually do nothing to stop the spread of the Delta variant, as 100% of the vaccinated, if exposed to enough of the virus, would spread the virus. The only vaccinated people who don't spread the virus are the ones who aren't exposed to enough of the virus.

Well, I wear high quality masks (N95 or better such as N100, American made) with perfect seal. Personally I couldn't care less if politicians mandate them or not. I wear them because I know that they do decrease the relative risk of catching the virus. No mandate and no guideline has ever influenced me on this. I'd still wear them in the absence of any mandate. Now in my state many businesses made of them, something optional, but if I go into a public indoor space, I'll wear an N95. Air travel? N100. I have a few of the latter, which I save for air travel.
