After your plutonium salad I will play this song for you. (The music's for the sad man)

As the blood clots form in your ears you will only hear the lower notes.

Russia takes another bite out of Eastern Europe.

    Nobody else will stop it.

As far as.to.what should happen if tardy folks had voted for.Trump this would not happen.

Me personally, dating as far back as 2013 I wanted to pursue a policy of detente with the Russians and the Chinese, as Richard Nixon successfully did in 1979(perhaps the biggest foreign policy achievement of Nixon. Though opening our financial markets to China turned out to be a devastating blow in history, but it would've been done by other Washington powers anyway.) So I don't hold that against him, when his diplomacy otherwise held the Soviet/Chinese sphere of influence in check. Nixon was a crook, but he was also the greatest diplomat in American history, bar none.

Restoring our foreign policy to 1979(which was also the start of the drawdown of the Vietnam War) would constitute a major foreign policy victory today, especially if we don't want to expand or be a police of the world. However, the world map has changed since 1979. Russia's political actions as well as the domestic unrest here at home make broaching the Russians next to impossible.

And then there's the Chinese. Part of me wants to create a US-EU-Chinese tripartite(given Chinese developments with the European Union.) The other half of me acknowledges China was less than sincere about the coronavirus and that China's militaristic and economic ambitions are against US interests and that isn't even factoring the human rights issue which is massive.

Detente is more possible with the Chinese than the Russians, but even here we need massive readjustments to our relationship with them. What's the extent of their spy program? How much have they infiltrated? Will the Chinese engage the muslim minority in accordance to their international obligations?

With the Russians, I simply don't trust them. Even if I agreed to withdraw the eastern borders and NATO concurred, would Putin reciprocate and simmer down the situation in Donbass and other areas? Either way, the US must consolidate power before rivaling powers consolidate before we do.

Probably not. Nobody seems to give them much of a chance.

Slim, I think. Russia will take as much of Ukraine as they want to. Best Ukraine can probably do is make it cost them a fair bit of blood and treasure.

How in your opinion, is Trump a deterrent to Putins actions?? And would he have to stay in power indefinitely for that reason??

Well Putin has "recognized" two "break away " regions in Ukraine now.........and is sending peacekeeping forces into them...........This is a very strategic and clever move on his part........and not a shot was fired.......well,, yet.

Under Trump, the American military probably killed more Russians than every president since Bush Sr. combined.

    Because Trump is unpredictable.

Did you know that in Syria, Trump.sent in B52s and murdered hundreds of Russian mercenaries?

    Biden is predictably stupid and.corrupt.

Trump is NOT an authoritarian so he's not staying in power forever.

Macron said he did. If there is lying on this topic, it's coming from him, not POTUS Joe...

Trump has threatened to nuke NK.

No even remotely balanced head of state has ever done that in peacetime.

So I imagine we would be in the middle of a nuclear war if Trump was still POTUS.

    Mercenaries are not Russian soldiers.

    Do you understand the difference?

Trump has done everything he can to stay in power.

If the democratic institutions of this country had been those of Russia, the US would be ruled by an autocrat today.

Yep, you got ‘em. Putin outplayed Biden…wait what ?

Dear Leader can never be wrong…….must blame Biden for traveling back in time and signing the agreeemnt, withdrawing those troops, releasing those 5000 Taliban prisoners……

Time is linear,…..you could not be more wrong, but hey, Dear Leader demands full compliance to the lie

I guess you will now deny that on Jan 15 2021, The Pentegon announced that they had already drew down troops to 2500….a full 5 days before Joe was inaugurated and time traveled back to make Trump look bad:

JFC, anything to fit the narrative that Dear Leader can do nothing wrong……

Time is linear, facts dont lie, but Republicans refuse to adhere to either of them

Have a nice day of blissful ignorance of fact in rightwinglandia

Lemme explain to you how special needs your boy Brandon is.

He has been excluded from peace talks, and now Germany says they will end the pipeline deal.

Biden has been cut out from any high level talks and even Germany is more decisive than Brandon.

Another foreign policy disaster from Brandon and Veep Throat.

And don't get cute with me about the difference between mercs and troops after your super high acuity comment that satellite imaging renders Russias military harmless.

Besides the numbers, Russia is a generation ahead with its.combat vehicles and tactics.

But the biggest deal breaker...is that Russia has an actual air force.

I'm waiting for you to something goofy like "but we gave Ukraine stinger missiles!".

There were no Russian troops amassed along the Ukraine border when Trump left office. This all began after Biden took office. Putin sized up Biden as weak and cowardly. Biden spoke of sanctions yet is frozen in fear to even do that. Putin can do whatever he wants and he knows it.

I find it pathetic to accuse Biden of being responsible for the actions of a mad dictator.
