The DEMS put themselves in this position. WE PEOPLE you are speaking of said LONG ago he should not be in the office and certainly not run for reelection but YOU PEOPLE refused to listen and voted FOR him in the primaries and defended him here. And now after all the praise and accolades for our DEMOCRACY when DEMOCRACY sudden gets in the way will just toss it aside. So YES it will be noted now and in the future the shifting sands of that DEMOCRACY and "will of the people" chants by the Dems/Left/MSM.

I explain it by saying that one poor performance at a debate (which honestly should not be the end all judgement on a campaign) doomed his prospects. Yes Biden is perfectly capable of being President...but the numbers just are not there.

The MOST important thing in this election is preventing Trump from returning to the WH. Biden, like a TRUE leader, recognizes this and realizes that the best thing for the country is for him to drop out.

Faced with the same choice (and trust me, Trump is facing the exact same choice) Trump has decided that his ego is more important than the welfare of this country.

Obama literally had to grab him by the wrist and guide him off stage when his brain went blank and was dazed and confused. His response was that they treat each other like family. I don't know about you, but all the men in my family grab each other by wrist and guide them to where they want them to go when they stare blankly into outer space.

How soon before he pardons Hunter and the rest of the family do you think?

    What "WE PEOPLE" is that?

The ones who overwhelmingly chose him to be President over Trump?

What about the "WE PEOPLE" that have long said Trump should not be President?

We People voted for Biden in the primaries, and now We People just lost our guy because a few elites forced him to drop out. First the left burned Sanders and now Biden.

The Democrat voters who else could possibly have imagined. The Dems insisted Biden run, they all said he was perfectly fit, the WH proclaimed all the videos the not-MSM press were showing were fakes. Biden last week declaring himself the BEST person for the job. And he's being forced out and all those elections tossed aside because the Dems are too scared he will lose to Trump.

Well, I was wrong. I thought he would pull off a better showing in the next debate and galvanize support. Too risky I guess. Means he’s not having very many days where he is coherent and good days are harder to predict and influence.

That’s sad. It means the last good days he had left with family were used up playing president.

Cue the narrative Trump should follow suit because he has dementia too. Even though Biden’s dementia was sudden onset over the last month. :)

I mean that’s one way to look at it. But any card carrying member of the Democratic Party should see this as a FUBAR moment and the crisis of political leadership.

There is no pool of talented Democrats to turn to. Those had been lost in the exodus of 2016(see: Exit polls)

Instead of trying to maintain its grassroots status, democrats became the party of shadow money and further lost the ability to champion progressive causes.

Forget who the new Presidential nominee will be, who’s going to be the new VP nominee?

Trump has a decided advantage now, because he actually has a VP and he has the nomination in hand.

He also doesn’t have to worry about being a lame duck president.

I heard last week that he would resign at this exact time and date. It was widespread knowledge in DC. The real powers that be are discarding the old puppet in favor of one that has a better chance of fooling the public. They fear Trump because he is not a puppet. - Elon Musk

When Joe finds out he isn't running, he is going to be furious.

This a lose lose the Democrats. Biden had his two choices and both are bad for the Democrats. Race and the gender of Harris is going to make Trump POTUS again. If Biden did not step aside he would have lost indies.

If Trump had any wisdom he would quickly realize he is the worst possible person to be President and drop out.

So one bad debate should nullify the DEMOCRACY we just saw in the primaries? He's the ONLY person who EVER beat Trump as he likes to remind us so why should he step down if he is perfectly capable of the job. There has ONLY been one debate there hasn't even been the Dem convention why can't he go out and beat Trump in a campaign?

He made the choice. It’s not like a bunch of dems at the convention tried to trick the delegates.
