Granted, in about every public speech, event, or interview since becoming the vice President, she has sounded like a retard. However before she pulled out of the race she was in one or two primary debates and she was a very aggressive, hard hitting debater. So I guess it depends on which Kamala shows up, wine mom Kamala or primary challenger Kamala.

 

Frankly I'm not mad at all at the progressive posters on the forum for getting it wrong on Biden's mental state, no matter how obvious it was. They are basically NPC's. They parrot the official talking points, and when those change, parrot the new ones. Remember all the progressive criticism of Harris on this forum over the years? No more, she's wonderful now!

Who I'm really mad at is the media, who covered for Biden for three years right up until they couldn't anymore. The NPC progressives didn't see very many videos of Biden shaking hands with ghosts, getting lost on stage, or going into dead-eye stare mode. They were available; they were all over the internet; but their preferred news outlets were dismissing them as cheap fakes, right up until they couldn't. It was a three year gaslighting project that worked, and likely would have continued to work if they had been smart enough to get out of the debate.

I don't think you understand how the media work--and why.

Media don't do as much investigative reporting as they could because supporters of who and what are being investigated get upset. They see the media as attacking their scared cow and turn the channel. Both left and right are channel-switching to get "news" they like. We used to do with newspapers what we now do with television and the internet. My parents used to take the Los Angeles Times--it was rightwing in those days--and the Democrats across the street took the Los Angeles Herald-Express.

Joe Biden and Donald Trump could have submitted to testing for both physical and mental health, but they didn't because we didn't tell them they must to have our support. The media, from left to right, could have joined hands for the good of the country, but instead they've done what business does--look to maximizing profit. We see the result.

I don't think either of these guys would have won their party's nomination.

First, this isn't about Trump. There are about a 1000x more threads on Trump than Biden, and his "unhinged behavior" vs Biden's cognitive decline are topics that are nothing alike.

Second, I don't need proof of Biden's dementia any more than you need proof of it in 2024. I've seen hundreds of videos of him over the past couple of years, and no, they weren't just gaffs or the imaginary stutter; to an observer, it was cognitive decline and it was obvious. Biden's debate performance wasn't "proof," he had a cold, he was jetlagged, he was exhausted, come on man! Anyway...
