Biden will do as much as Congress and the Supreme Court lets him, which is not very much. I'm pretty sure that GOP will retake the house in 2022 so he won't get anything done after that.

Yes, but the allocation of his bodily fluids is just a bit beyond what we need to know.
It's like trying to communicate with a fence post. Would you say that's fairly accurate?

.. and it's a safe bet that Creepy Joe won't be disappointing anyone. If we guestimate that Obama and Trump accomplished only 25% of their promises then we can expect that Joey will make good with 25% of nothing. But remember that Obama had 8 years to come through while Trump had only 4 years. Looks like Donny did alright.

I'd say that Trump accomplished more like 10% of what he promised if we are to be generous. He promised to make healthcare far less expensive. Its actually more expensive now. He promised to stop our trade problems. Our trade deficit actually increased. He promised a border wall, barely any wall was made. He promised 4-6% GDP growth. Instead he got 2.5% GDP from 2.2% under Obama, and that was wiped out with the pandemic. He promised to eliminate the debt, instead he increased it by a lot.

Oh, don't you worry. He'll be a minimalist in what he does for Americans but his maximalist war-mongering is going to get you killed.

I have a couple of questions for you.
    * Did you support the building of the "wall" and will you hold Biden responsible for continuing its construction?
    * Do you think Trump created the "Coronavirus"?

I partially support the wall. I believe there are some areas of the border that could use better fencing. But other areas could use more border agents and technology.

Trump didn't create covid but he handled the pandemic poorly and spread a lot of misinformation and set a bad example. He could have done more with a mask mandate, more testing, and more private industry production mandates. 400,000 people have died, and more could have been done to save lives. Trump also didn't listen to his scientific advisors as Fauci pointed out.

    * So, do you expect for Biden to carry on building the wall/fence?
    * Do you believe masks do any good against the coronavirus?
    * Do you think Trump thwarted "more testing"?
    * Is the death of 400,000 people worse (per capita) than most other nations?
    * In the global theme of fighting the coronavirus, has Fauci singled out Trump as one of the worse in "listening to scientific advisors"?

Yes, hospitals have been using masks for decades to reduce the transmission of viruses.

Trump didn't devote enough resources to testing. The Republicans could have done more to help the economy as well.

Yes it is. 20% of all covid deaths are in the US while we are only 4% of the world population.

Fauci has mentioned challenges in being able to openly discuss the science and contradict the administration. Trump has stated many falsehoods about the pandemic and is very slow to listen to scientists. This attitude is dangerous.

Trump was a dictator? I don't think so.

That the recent Democrat leadership [from Clinton on] tends to run wars around the world is quite true.
And usually Italians get involved in some way. Fortunately usually we are minimalist about allowing Americans to involve us.
As for I know the greatest involvement of Italians is in Afghanistan. We were in Iraq in decent numbers as well, but we arrive later.
In Afghanistan the war has never exactly ended for real ...

P.S. to be fair, it was Bush Jr to involve Italians more in international military expeditions. Clinton obtained our air base [and the Italian Prime Minister as a Communist who had to help the Americans to attack his former Serbian "mates" ...].

As long as swindlers like Berlusconi run the country, levels of Italian society will always be in a state of chaos. Making it worse is NATO membership.

Yes, Obama was quite productive. He fabricated excuses while using a massive stimulus to stimulate his cronies while benefiting no one else and leaving the economy to choke on a regulatory regime that would have made Mao envious.

Qualified and Honorable - you realize this Washington we are talking about .. scarce commodities them are - and were nary existent in the Obama Admin .. Oh - Wait .. Joe .. well he was VP during that comedy of errors.

Trump is gone - and ranting about him being a dictator will not bring him back - Now we have a new clown to deal with - one with a demonstrable clown track record .. so get ready for more of the same - same as the old boss - maintain the status quo.

To be member of NATO is not that bad ... overall when you don't pay what you should pay. Regarding this aspect I agree with those Americans who think that the allies should contribute more to the Alliance. Berlusconi did something about. But generally our governments tend to prefer to remain under the "American umbrella".

It should probably be re-stated that high expectations have been set by supporters of the Democratic Party's candidates, not the candidates themselves. That said, the expectations are too high for even the best of possible representatives, and those elected are not of that caliber.
Briefly, then, no, expectations will be far from met. Those who expect the worst may even be closer.

~ Here is another point of view from elsewhere :
" Joe Biden in his fog of confusion is the incarnation of the cartoon character Mr.Magoo. As our new President stumbles into office while inheriting an America in troubled times, Sleepy Joe will bounce from one crisis to another becoming the most inept American President in modern times. President Magoo will drag America down a “Woke Orwellian Rabbit Hole” while blurting out Radical Left talking points to an empty room. At the end of this rabbit hole is "The Great Reset". We all can't wait for that ! "

I assume you are referring to surgical masks that " have been used for decades". They are actually used to help stop the spread of bacteria from mouth and nose secretions - not virus.

Only for the purpose of being fair, every president "has inherited an America in troubled times."

That's pretty much what I wanted to say.

Wake up. If trump was wonderful for America why is his bank refusing to work with him? Why are members at Mar-a-Lago dropping out like flies? Why does the Mar-a-Lago community not want him and his family living there? Why has the city of New York canceled their contracts, for skating rink and golf course maintenance, with the trump organization? Why have large businesses quite contributing to him? Why did the PGA cancel a tournament at one of his golf courses? Why are the people living in his tower wanting to take his name (logo) off the building? Because we hit on trump so hard you might get the idea that it's just us, the Dems on this forum, that hate what the guy has done but open your eyes and you'll see that pretty much most of America agrees with us.

So you judge someone's accomplishments by the number of influential people that gang upon him? Yes, I see that you probably believe there are still thousands upon thousands of WMD's scattered around Irak because ...... Washington didn't like Saddam Hussein and some NATO members ganged up on him.

His policies were great for America. Trump deserved the Nobel prize as much as any president in our history. His energy policies were the best of any president in my lifetime and climate change is a fraud issue.

Even Obama admitted that the corporate tax rate was too high in this country. Why would we have higher corporate taxes than Sweden? Only an idiot would raise those. I personally did not agree with cutting individual income taxes for the wealthy but cutting the corporate tax rate was something that needed to be done.

I would appreciate a post that was not just emotion, orange man bad.
