I tell you truly, I have studied Putin in considerable detail, as well as the head of the FSB (the Russian security service which replaced the old KGB), a very intelligent, mysterious man named Alexander Bortnikov.

Truth? The fairly clear indication is that all of our foremost adversaries, Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong-un, and the wacko-priesthood of Islamo-Nazis that rule Iran, didn't want to mess with Trump at all -- not because he was some kind of "Julius Caesar", but because he was SO unpredictable, mercurial, and temperamental... and, they thought, DANGEROUSLY so. Biden and that idiot-klatch of 'woke' liberals in his administration might talk, talk, and talk some more... but they will DO little of any consequence. Keep your eye on Xi Jinping next!

Until my retirement several years ago, I was a lower-level manager in two different Prime Contractors to the U. S. federal government, and I had had two different top secret security clearances. No big "James Bond" deal, honestly, but I did learn quite a bit over the years while 'swimming in that sea'....

More truth? I don't want to see Trump back in the presidency. We need new thinking -- not any more ancient codgers like either Trump or Geriatric Joe. Tom Cotton! Tulsi Gabbard! Marco Rubio! Andrew Yang! :woot:

There's two sides to a President, character and actions/results. So who's better, Biden or Trump? Well, Biden on character and Trump on actions/results.

Americans tend to side with character. It's like, my boss is the best guy on the planet, but the company is going bust, I'll lose my job and house, but he's a great guy. Or, my boss is an *******, he's driving the company well, it's booming and I'm getting a great pay rise and I'm selling up to get a bigger house. Who would you work for?

A fantastic line-up: Tom Cotton! Tulsi Gabbard! Marco Rubio! Andrew Yang!

All high achievers, people who understand the world, and all are people who make sense.

Concerning the OP - Biden has to go, and the sooner he goes, the better.

So I don't think there will be a run-off between Biden and Trump, but if there is, Trump will win by a landslide.

A choice between several good candidates is even better than having to pick the only one that isn't a disaster.

I don’t care if President is cheating on his wife with a slot or with White House intern, it is a personal taste.
I also love President Trump humor – it was very funny when he convinced his base that Mexico will pay for the wall, that he will reveal his taxes or when he said the tax cut was not good for him:

    Great sense of humor.
I would love to see him as comedian, but not as a president.

Most potus have had women on the side. JFK and slick Willie Clinton were known to have multiple women.
LBJ, Bush, the beloved Trumpsta have had their women/cheating issues. Hell the messiah himself, Obama was suspected to have a side wom ………well an “it” on the side.

Pres Trump is hated by he DC and Global Elites because he showed how corrupt they are and how they just didn't really care to achieve any benefits for the American public, or perhaps just how lazy they were on getting things accomplished.

TDS that's about all I can do to explain the hatred for Trump and his supporters, the Elites, yeah, they hate him for a reason, he's upset their crooked game, but the voting US public.. TDS is all I have.

Well, it's very easy for someone to say and claim something, but when you ask for evidence and certainly objective evidence, you only hear the crickets in the background, lol.

I would say Trump. I was better off while he was President and it would seem so was the world. At least during his administration we did not have to realistically think to ourselves "Could someone fire off a nuke today?"

Yep, which pretty much means Trump and the most blind of his followers at this point.

The only person who tried to steal the election was Trump. But I agree, the conspiracy nuts who claim that Biden stole the election, but still support Trump, are the pinnacle of irony.

    Aging empires need stability.

So bringing NATO together to make a fool of Putin is of no consequence???

I'm not exactly sure which point or points you are trying to illustrate... actually neither the U. S. nor the Russian Federation is very old, as countries go -- although Russia's antecedent and rather insular culture extends for back for over a thousand years.

The European-Russians have characteristically been an enigmatic, intelligent, morose people, capable of enduring tremendous hardship, and, of inflicting great cruelty on those it considered to be enemies. Consequently, other countries have seen that when dealing with Russia, the most important impression to cultivate is one of indomitable military strength, along with the projection of a willingness to fight to the death over issues deemed to be of existential importance.

Putin has made some very serious mistakes but he is not a fool. He can smell indecisiveness, incompetence, false 'bravado', and fear, from a great distance. Conversely, he is capable of understanding the mass and complexity of the force that can be arrayed against Russia when (not 'if') both Sweden and FINLAND join NATO.

Still, you can imagine what he smells when he turns his nose toward Washington D. C., ruled as it is by liberal-Democrat majorities in both the Executive and Legislative Branches. It's worth remembering that Russia never invaded anybody until Biden came into office, and it's also a fact that Putin didn't begin assembling his gigantic invasion force until after the Biden regime's horrific 'withdrawal' blunders in Afghanistan. Putin respects only powerful, intelligently-led, ruthless military force... and he obviously sees NONE of that in the United States today.

On that point, we can agree.

What happened before WW2 can be called imperialism, we changed that. Putin doesn't understand that, and other things, as he just demonstrated dramatically.

The damage he has done to himself, his country (not just from this) and to the stability of the region he lives in marks him as one of the biggest fools alive.

One last thing, you said Putin never invaded anyone before Biden, ever hear of Crimea???

Is this in response to yet another argument by the right that Russia is better than America?

I haven't figured that guy out. He said Russia never invaded anybody, after Chechnya, after Georgia, after Crimea, I don't what to say to that.

Even if it were true, how in the hell does that justify the current mass murder?

Putin has unleashed utter chaos, a perfect storm that's going to make a mess of everything pretty much everywhere. It's just started, but the scope is breathtaking. I just posted a video in a thread titled Everything is Fragile. If Zeihan is right, we are looking at a global economic depression that could be a lot worse than it sounds on paper.

Regarding Xi Jinping, he is using this pause in US effectiveness to coordinate his power among other dictatorships, particularly in the middle east. China’s “New World Order” is to form a bloc of dictatorships to counter democracies and quasi - democracies.
    For recent examples:
    Iran: Strait of Hormuz
Saudi: oil exports without US preaching.
Solomon islands: base to counter Australia
Dictators love what China is selling, and US influence is poisonously off the rails with “woke”.
While Biden fumbles along, the future of freedom is being challenged.
