"This Is What the Difference Between Bush and Obama's Tax Plan Looks Like"

    https://www.theatlantic.com/busines...en-bush-and-obamas-tax-plan-looks-like/61382/

"The Republicans' plan to extend the Bush tax cuts will increase the deficit in 2011 by $36 billion over the Democrats' plan to let the cuts expire for families earning more than a quarter-million dollars."

People on minimum wage buy homes?

That must be quite a trick. Just think what they could do if they did what it takes to get an adults job.

they only agree to them if the rich get a huge tax cuts along with them, look at the republican "middle class tax cut
    under Trump

it was really a massive corporate tax cut with a temporary tax cut for the middle class used as a carrot

I have called you out to prove what you claimed.

Since as you say "the right always asks how we are gonna pay for it " whenever the left wants a middle class tax cut.....it should be easy to find a link supporting this thing that you say they always do. I have been around politics a lot. I sincerely do not have a recollection of such a situation. I dont recall Republicans ever opposing a tax cut, only tax increases.

I will not go off on another topic until you admit you were wrong, or prove that your assertion was correct (which we both know is not going to happen)

if you can't say if you agree or not, that is on you

I am not gonna google for you, we have all lived through it, seen it happen

republican opposed Obama's tax cuts for only the first 250k, I posted a link
why were Republicans against this? they were willing to choose no tax cuts unless the rich got their huge tax cuts

Because what you claimed does not exist.

Funny, you had no trouble providing a link when asked at the top of this page on post 76. You response was "Sure", and then you enthusiastically provided the link.

What do you suppose is different this time? The difference this time is that it does not exist, thus now you strangely refuse to google for me.

As a percentage of GDP, Gingrich & Co. have managed to cut spending/outlays from 20% to a VERY LOW 17.7%, and increased revenue/receipts from 17.9% to a VERY HIGH 20%.

From 2017 to 2019, and as a percentage of GDP, Trump’s Republican controlled Congress increased spending/outlays from 20.7% to 21%, and reduced revenue/receipts from 17.2% to a VERY LOW 16.4%.

Indisputable fact; As a percentage of GDP, Gingrich & Co. would have never balanced the budget with Trump’s receipts, and despite the fact they’ve reduced spending to a very low 17.7%.

    Trump’s “good economical times” receipts as a percentage of GDP;

    2017; 17.2%
    2018; 16.4%
    2019; 16.4% WTF?

It was quite a trick! And it was not uncommon during that idiotic period of about 2003 - 2006 that if you had a pulse, and any kind of job, that you could qualify to buy a house! Democrats were still hawking all that nonsense about how everybody 'deserves a house' whether they could afford it or not, and, Republicans were looking the other way while everybody was still trying to 'juice' the economy in the aftermath of 9/11. BOTH political parties brought that mess down on us and it added to what was excellent preparation for the "Great Recession".

OK, the info is in a story from August 2010. But, we weren't rid of Obama until January 2017. But thank you anyway.
