It's amazing that you'll cherry pick one example of treatment of a few slaves and accomplish what with it? Unless you're defending the institution of slavery why mention how a few slaves were treated during the building of the White House?

The slaves who built the WH WERE well fed. Many slaves in history were, and were treated well by their masters. Does acknowledging this fact of history make one some kind of "slavery apologist?" Only in the history revising land of the SJW.

My Irish indentured servant ancestors, OTOH, were NOT well fed. Where's my forty acre potato field and a Guinness?

Why not - it's part of the historical record. If the slaves were abused (in excess of their obvious civil rights abuse) he would have reported that as well.

 

You seriously cannot compare white indentured servitude and black slaves in America.

What was the point in bringing up how they were treated?

 

We're not talking about the complete political stance of dead presidents.

We're talking revisionist history and the inability of liberals to accept the fact that their party was founded upon racism and operates by it today.

Liberalism is the party of racism, the permanent underclass proves this beyond and logical doubt.

All people held slaves in the past, but it were the whites who abolished it first.

Yet, it's only us who are constantly reminded and guilt-riddled about our past... one may wonder why that is.

Why not? It was the equivalent of slavery, with corrupt means often used to keep the indentures indentured for life. Indentured servants were often treated WORSE than de jure slaves because they were not a permanent asset in theory. But OK, what about the very real slavery of military conscription and naval impress throughout history all over the world? Does that count?

Face it, we are all descendants of slavers and slaves, every single one of us, no escaping or denying that. No race or group has a monopoly on claiming some especially heinous type of slavery applied to their ancestors. Acknowledging this simple fact of history is neither slavery apology nor anti black racism.

 

Or don't continue to live in the 19th century. You should try it and stop baiting anyone who doesn't say what you want them to say. Nobody supports slavery, and the tired old lame crap y'all are pulling by trying to say we do, doesn't have an effect on people.
