Black Lives Matter? (BLM)

BLM wants to save black lives right? Then why don’t they focus in areas that actually much more black lives. They defend criminals and try and allow them safe passage during illegal activity. No one should be afforded safe passage during illegal activity, no one! And that’s exactly what they advocate for

 

The point is that BLM's very name is a kind of lie. Black lives only matter to that organization when they are ended in a way that fits their narrow political narrative. The entire premise of the organization is that the greatest threat to black lives is the police. That assertion is nonsense. Urban violence is the bigger threat by many orders of magnitude.

 

A metaphor for what?

 

BLM was a protest wanting police reform. Your attempting to assign it a different function and therefore dismiss it, continues your theme of negative bias against Blacks. The protest was about police use of excessive force and you judge that wasn't a problem.

No, you frame BLM in a way that fits your narrow political agenda. Yes my analogy did go over your head.

I call them riots, you can call them protests but they were riots. And as far as changing the police methods they want what are they. Reduced bail, less cops, more community policing are all things I have seen BLM push on their demands list. They want violent and criminal behavior to have less punishment based on race. They don’t care about police reforms or they would protest all forms of police violence.

 

It sounds more like a terminal case of confirmation bias and BTW 93% of the "riots" were peaceful.

If the goal was to spread the message that black lives do matter you're not. You're using it as a cudgel but I think that's the point.
