What an odd question. Also very insulting, but coming from you, it's quite normal. Please try to make a point now and then without the snark, the sarcasm, and the general nastiness that you employ so liberally.

Huh? Quote me, or apologize please.

What is "the office of being elected to the congress"?

    Have I? Not always.

He did more good than your ilk will ever acknowledge. He had lots of help from the many dozens of intelligent people he hired.

I stand by my post. Boebert should not be a qualified member of congress, but too many righties here in the Colorado like that she's a nincompoop. Apparently good with her hands, according to the video of her giving her date a hand job in a crowded theater, not to mention vaping in everyone's face. Yeah, let's have her make decisions that affect our lives. Effing perfect. Too bad she's becoming the new norm.

You obviously want a permanent political class. That's the antithesis of a democratic system.

And sometimes I refer to the fellas as the boys.

You could probably spot "sexism" in a bowl of Cheerios.

You didn't seem to have much problem about people on your side of the aisle basically calling her stupid.

Boebert is a nincompoop. It isn't about her gender in any way, but her behavior as a woman sickens me. Hand jobs in full public view, for crying out loud. Are you defending this sleaze bag?

Defunding the ATF won’t provide resources to state or local law enforcement. It will just result in less law enforcement.
Republicans want to defund law enforcement. Own it.

Well first you accuse me of being sexist against her because I called her a girl and then you move on to blaming me for defending her sexual activities.

    Please make up your mind.

Resources removed from an agency enforcing unconstitutional (unlawful) regulations will not be lost, they will go somewhere else. Where do YOU think they will go?

It was bad behavior, irregardless of gender. That's what you seem to be defending.

It wasn't that you called her a girl, it was your seemingly cavalier use of the phrase "some girl," as if she could have been any female, not a member of our House of Representatives. It's dismissive and belittling. "Some girl" wouldn't make the news, but a congressional rep behaving like that in public?

My whole point on this thread is that in my opinion, she isn't qualified to make decisions that affect we the people. That's what you seem to disagree with. It seems like you think Boebert's behavior is not an issue.

Plenty of Congress members have less than stellar behavior.

I didn't vote for her but her constituents did so, the people have spoken.

Let he or she who is without sin, cast the first stone.

Alcohol, tobacco and firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

The agency was created in 1886 as a "revenue laboratory" under the Bureau of Internal Revenue and then reestablished when we passed the 18th Amendment, aka the Volstead Act. It was the Bureau of Alcohol then, and its name was changed several times until the late 1960s, when, under Nixon, it was called the Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, and Firearms. The agency primarily focuses on the interstate commerce of illegal firearms, tobacco, and alcohol, with state agencies having similar functions for these "goods." The main reason why it exists is because of the 1968 Firearms Act along with the 1930s Firearms Act as well. Neither of these acts have been ruled unconstitutional except for specific parts of the act. Thus, the laws it enforces is based on those two acts alone, among other laws in existence.

You keep saying that... and yet, here's the places that have banned flavored vapes.
    • Massachusetts (all flavored tobacco products)
    • New York (all flavored vape products, including menthol)
    • Rhode Island (all flavored vapes except tobacco flavor)
    • Aspen and Boulder in Colorado
    • Carbondale in Colorado
    • Los Angeles and San Diego in California (excluding tobacco-free nicotine and nicotine-free products)
Also Oregon, I happen to know from working there frequently. And Canada, ftm.

'Trump' is not the first thing that comes to mind when I try to think of what these places may all have in common, politically. Perhaps you've incorrectly identified the source of 'just who is banning the things you like.'

If this is Trump's fault, how come none of the states that love Trump have banned flavored vapes, and all the places that have are very much anti-Trump?

IF (big if) it becomes law the DOJ, since the ATF is a sub department of the DOJ, would become responsible for everything the ATF currently does. Which isn't a viable solution, there is a lot of tax dollars the ATF is responsible for collecting. Tax dollars our government needs to function. IF the ATF is abolished the laws delegated to it don't disappear.

treasury department as it originally was. BTW I don't think there should be any federal gun control laws anyway, cannot find any valid grant of authority in Article One Section Eight. maybe in terms of (God help us) Tariffs and excise taxes

Does Bimbobert's bill revert the ATF to Treasury? We ALL know you're against ANY gun legislation at ANY level of Government; even the Supreme's don't agree.
Wuuuuuuuut? Really, whatever are you saying, I know you think this is "yale" level stuff, but, hint, it's not a coherent or even a complete sentence. When did capitalizing the first word of an, attempted, sentence go out of fashion.

Alcohol, tobacco and firearms are all legal products. There are plenty of other law enforcement agencies out there which can handle issues surrounding those products.
