Third parties might offer interesting concepts, but all it will do will be to push the country further to the left into the hands of the Democrats. The Democrats have what seems to be a majority of the voters and are more united. The Republicans are more divided. You could get your wish in 2024. If Trump somehow fails to win the Republican nomination, he could go off in a huff and run as a third party candidate. It would be similar to the 1912 electoral when Theodore Roosevelt ran as the Progressive or “Bull Moose” candidate. The Republicans became the third party that year, with William Howard Taft finishing a poor third, and Democrat Woodrow Wilson was elected.
