A school shooting rampage in Russia and a terrorist blast.

News literally from a few minutes ago. That's the first video I'm posting below.

Several witnesses described a gunman stalking the halls of the school and shooting students and teachers before detonating a bomb in the college cafeteria.

Around 80 people have been officially wounded or killed.

At least 20+ people have been officially killed and 50+ more wounded when a bomb packed with metal shrapnel ripped through a college cafeteria in Crimea. Most of the victims are teenagers.

Investigators have now said they believe the attack was a mass murder carried out by a terrorist from a foreign origin.

I thought that the majority of the international community still considered Crimea to be part of Ukraine.

According to the BBC, there are 17 dead and Russian authorities are blaming Ukraine.

It's not. It's out of the question, really. There's not a single Ukrainian citizen that lives there. All the Military bases are Russian and they have connected Crimea to Russia with a mega-bridge that was finished for just a year. The phone codes are Russian and only Russian mobile carriers operate there now. But that's not what the thread is about.

    Photos of the bridge.

One attacker, a local student of the school, he is dead, killed himself, the incident is reclassified from a terror attack to mass murder.

Without me trying to politicise the situation in ANY WAY, or me trying to demonise Russians, people, let this be a very good wake-up call and let that sink in deep!

Russians did not have the right to bear arms before 2014. And even after 2014, the gun laws are so strict that it makes it impossible for most people to carry guns for self-defense.

If there was an armed teacher or a student, lives would have been saved! Another proof that gun control does not stop thugs and murderers. They acquire weapons on the black market.

It isn't correct. Russians can have arms for hunting. Like this:

Read my post again. And read the snippet quote I have posted.

A hunting license is not the true definition of a "right to bear arms". Maybe you're not familiar with American culture and their laws and terms. But I'm telling you so you will know.

A right to bear arms is a self-defense permit. Period. Because you can't carry a hunting SKS or SAIGA-12 to school or when running errands around. It's gonna be illegal. You can't defend yourself with that. Or you're going to jail.

Seems there is some confusion about the number of attackers. Putin calls it a crime while Russian investigators claim it was terrorism. What's the truth?

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...ege-shooting-russian-officials-idUSKCN1MR1BB?

The director of the school, Olga Grebennikova, described the scene that she encountered when she entered the college building after the attack.

“There are bodies everywhere, children’s bodies everywhere. It was a real act of terrorism. They burst in five or 10 minutes after I’d left. They blew up everything in the hall, glass was flying,” Grebennikova told Crimean media outlets.

They then ran about throwing some kind of explosives around, and then ran around the second floor with guns, opened the office doors, and killed anyone they could find.”

You are an Bulgarian, therefore you don't know what is "to bear arms". Understood I mean? Russian can bear arms. Stop discussion please.
You are an Bulgarian, therefore you don't know what is "a self-defense". You hope for the USA defense only but you will never get one.
It is illegal in any state. Maybe Bulgaria is an exception only.
Guy, I can defend my self. I am a Siberian :)

My deepest condolences to all affected. I imagine the weapon was available to the young shooter in connection with the years-long conflict in the region, but who knows yet for sure? I just hope it never becomes the epidemic elsewhere that it seems to have become here in the land of gun freedumb.

Bulgaria has the most liberal gun and knife laws in the world after the USA. You can check that if you don't believe me. We can own crossbows, huge knives, no restriction on length, guns for self-defense, TASERS even. Yes. Civilians can carry TASERS. So maybe you want to keep your opinion for yourself that "I don't know what's to bear arms".

In Russia for example you can't even own a huge knife. They issue you a permit if you want to carry a knife, lol. A permit for a knife. Like it's a gun.

Soon in Russia: permits issued for toilet brushes.

Don't ever tell me again to stop the discussion. I'm not in Russia so you cannot shut my mouth by force. You understand? Greetings.

Sounds pretty logical that Putin is trying to keep things cooled down. Not to worry the public and spread panic yet.

Nothing indicates she personally saw the murderer or muderers. We also don't know what the word she used in the original language of the interview. The insertion of "they" may be a Western media outlet's way of trying to de-gender her comment. A lot of progs are now saying "they" instead of "he" or "she." People also use "they" generically if they don't know if a he or she did something.

You're reading too deeply into the language here.

What we have as an epidemic in the US is alcohol-related deaths. More die by drunken driving every year than by all firearms homicides combined, and 3x more people yearly die by alcohol abuse than gun-related deaths of all types, most of which are suicides.

You may want to dig deeper than the media narrative.

More news about the terror act.

A woman that was inside the school gave an interview. She claims the gunmen were a few, not one only.

It is yet to be clarified whether this is true or not.

And what will Putin say if it turns out it was a terrorist attack by more than one 17 year old? Sounds like Putin is using US school shootings to hide the truth.

Irrelevant, of course. More people dying in connection with abuse of alcohol than by gun-related violence or accidents does not make gun-related deaths any less tragic or preventable.

Hey guys, all of you have made good points. Just need to wait awhile, to get the full information on what happened; maybe tomorrow. Condolences to the students and teachers, and condolences to the friends and relatives of those killed Sounds like a horrible situation.

I don't think it's panic Putin is worried about. I think he's trying to avoid pressure from the Russian people to go to war - which would be exactly what Washington wants. There have been countless provocations and terrorist attacks especially in Crimea, and they have been thwarted in the past. It seems Kiev has become more expert at it now - probably because the Americans are involved with their expertise. As an example, two day ago an American pilot was killed together with the Ukrainian one when their jet crashed.

There is hope though. On October 10th the Ukrainian chief diplomat and former OSCE chairperson Leonid Kozhara undid the MSM propaganda during a EU conference in Brussels. He told them that they have to stop thinking of the war in Ukraine as a hybrid war with Russia, since it is not. 100% of the participants in the conflict are citizens of Ukraine, almost 100% of the victims of the conflict are citizens of Ukraine, and 100% of the conflict takes place in Ukraine - so it must be seen through international law.

If the EU can exert pressure on Kiev to follow the Minsk agreement, which Kozhara feels is Ukraine's only hope for peace, then maybe the people will be able to free their country from the criminals in Kiev and the poverty imposed on them.
