oh no no no, you want a NUTTER claim its that a plane can slice 5 poles and still have wings thats top shelf nutter - - - Updated - - - LMFAO a trougher told me that and you admitted they lied to me. So you agree then that there would have had to be extensive damage
you know what's really nuty? the idea that the wings hit the poles and didn't even have a scratch. talk about one insane claim!!!!!
yeh I agree, troughers are insane. thats a real plane and it cuts those wings clean off But then it did not have the osama bin laden secret anti forcity weapons installed
Telephone poles weigh approx 1200lbs. How are they the same?....Ever see light pole sway in the wind?....why do you think it does that? - - - Updated - - - Are those 400lb hollow, break-away light poles? Do you really believe you're doing the science correctly?
not those short ones used in the test they were about the same it should be obvious beacause it does NOT have osama bin laden secret anti forcity weapons installed
What was the speed and angle of that plane's descent???? - - - Updated - - - Really?...those poles sway all the time...they are designed to...it helps absorb the high winds. - - - Updated - - - Thanks for, once again, displaying both your ignorance and intellectual dishonesty.
who cares what the angle is LMAO eureka! poles sway so what - - - Updated - - - so the masts are defective and break huh?
So, it the plane did not come in contact with the light poles, how did they get that way and what did the eyewitnesses see?
Model "ST" Stainless Steel Lighting Standard Tenon Top Pole The Model ST is a straight tapered one piece pole fitted with a standard 2 3/8" O.D. stainless steel tenon top. The pole shaft is formed into a tapered octagon in heights up to 35' and into a sixteen sided structure in heights 35' to 50'. The Model ST is constructed from high strength type 201L stainless steel with an after fabrication minimum yield strength of 60,000 PSI. Common applications are building entrance and walkway lighting or sidewalk and street lighting in urban malls. Optional bases for the ST are: The enclosed "H" base is cold formed from the same type 201L stainless steel as the pole shaft and is riveted and welded to a formed stainless steel base plate also made of type 201L stainless steel. The standard anchor "A" base is made from 3/4" to 1 1/4" thick, type 304L stainless steel plate and is welded to the pole shaft with two circumferential welds. The stainless steel (AASHTO approved) breakaway "H" base is similar to the enclosed "H" base except that the base housing is fastened to the base plate with stainless steel rivets which are designed to shear under impact. (This base is designed to be replaced in the event of knockdown, allowing reuse of the pole shaft.) Finish Options: Millerbond Factory Finish Stainless Soft Finish Base Styles: (Click Images for More Information) Specifications: The ST Lighting Pole is manufactured from high strength American made type 201L stainless steel which is .0721 thickness with an after fabrication minimum yield strength of 60,000 PSI. Poles up to 35 in height will be furnished with a tapered octagonal shaft. Poles 35 to 50 are furnished with a sixteen sided tapered shaft. The anchor "A" base is made from 304L stainless steel plate. Anchor base poles shall be equipped with a 3" x 5" hand hole with a reinforced frame. The hand hole cover is secured with a single tamper-resistant screw. The enclosed "H" base and the base plate shall be fabricated of the same high strength stainless steel as the shaft. The "H" base interior is accessible through a flush-mounted service door with a reinforced opening. The service door is secured with tamper-resistant screws. The anchor bolts shall be galvanized at least 12" on the threaded end. Each anchor bolt LINK....http://www.millerberndmfg.com/steel_lighting_poles/stainless_steel_lighting/st_lighting_standard.asp If you look at the amount of the Minimum Yield Strength of this pole it is at 60,000 psi. A 757 or any large commercial jet lines traveling at just 200 mph....and the ones that hit the Pentagon and WTC were traveling much faster....such an aircraft traveling 200 mph with the aircraft weighing anywhere from 220,000 lbs to 250,000 lbs at take off....that's over 100 TONS of aircraft flying between 300 and 350 mph....but at just 200 mph....the aircraft wing would strike the metal pole with slightly over 1,230,000 psi. AboveAlpha
wow so you are saying it took 60,000 PSI to snap that pole. hey um... particle physicist.....100 tons of aircraft does not fit into a 1.5 square foot footprint, are you saying the plane was compacted into an 1.5 x 1.5 cube when it hit those poles? Like did it do a donut and come back and get each one, one at a time?
That's what it takes. The 757 that hit it EASILY cut through that pole as it impacted the wing at over 1 Million psi. AboveAlpha
so there was 1 million psi against that wing? by that standard this one had 1/5th the psi and it sheared those wings clean off! But then it did not have the osama bin laden secret anti forcity weapons installed
Hey, Maroon....so, using your logic...cars and trucks can cause NO damage to a light pole...correct? You're just not good at this.
depends, you are the one who ciphered 1 million psi impact and in the same breath think the wings will remain attached LMAO
they can yes, you think they cant? - - - Updated - - - How the hell should I know what they saw, my eye witness brain receiver implant is on the fritz lately.
This is the last time I will comment to you as it is obvious you have very little understanding of Physics or Mathematics. TRY>>>>TRY>>>>>....to understand this. If I had a 1 inch by 1 inch cube of STYROFOAM....that only weighed .09 ounce....and I accelerated that 1 inch cube of Styrofoam in space to Cometary Velocities....say at 86,000 miles per hour.....and I targeted a 10 foot thick concrete and 2 inch thick steel plated wall.....that cube of Styrofoam would punch a hole right through that wall....and another just like it behind it!!!!! F=MA AboveAlpha
I shall now say the most important thing that could be said in this or any other thread dealing with a 9-11 Truther: don't feed the troll.
well this is much less than a million psi look at it rip that plane to shreads! you are lucky if that is 5000psi being used to tear that plane to shreds tonite the particle left me down!
I keep seeing an animated gif of a test crash showing a wing hitting a pair of wooden telephone poles. I'm not sure why I keep seeing the .gif. I posted the full video pages back. There's a much better camera angle in the full video that shows the impact from a view parallel to the wing. At this angle, you can see that the 13" thick wooden pole closest to the fuselage is sheared by the wing, rather than the other way around. The narrator even makes a point of stating that the basic wing structure remains intact. Also of note is the fact that the wing in the test video is the wing of a DC-7. This wing is supported by a structure engineered to carry the load of 2 - 2600lb radial engines and has a maximum take off load of 61,000 lbs. The wing on a 757, conversely, carries a 7200lb jet engine, and has a maximum load of more than 120,000lbs. Is seems quite obvious that the study represented by the animated gif shows that a much weaker wing than the wing of a 757 was able to shear off a 13" wide wooden pole and retain its integrity. If this animated gif is being used by a truther to show that the wing wouldn't survive the impact, then, like typical truther evidence, the reality is exactly the opposite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrIZd53Gl4E The magic happens at 6:40.
