California Assembly and Senate congratulate Israel during a bloodbath

    The venerable Israeli newspaperHa’aretz’s online edition May 14 displayed video of what was literally a split-screen reality as Israeli and U.S. elites toasted a symbolic embassy opening in Jerusalem while 61 unarmed Palestinian protesters—including an 8-month-old girl—were gunned down by Israeli snipers in Gaza or suffocated by tear gas.

    Very interesting, we are told that the far leftists are Israel haters, yet not a single CA politican voted against this. What is happening in Gaza right now is horrendous, imagine for a minute if what is taking place in Gaza was happening right here in America. White cops sniping some rioters, videotaping it, whooping it up in laughter and sharing with their friends. Every Dem politician would be screaming something along the lines of "no justice no peace" There would be riots in every major city, BLM quotes would be in every major newspaper, etc. etc. You get the picture. I want to here from the Pro-Israel crowd on this one.

    If I tried to join a bunch of people 'protestors' where many of them are attacking a military border I would expect that I'd be shot. I couldn't blame them in the least.

    In this thread, I am more interested in juxtaposing the response of the Dem politicans in California vs. how most left wing democrats feel about Israel, and why the divide.

    its like they think the Palestinians are the modern day rebels, and the rich jews ranchers cowboy westerners took their Indian third world territory away..

    Solution:

    Glass Isreal, Palestine, and most of the surrounding area. Whoever braves the wastes and sets up their cities first afterwards, gets the new holy land.

    Not sure if the world is ready for the Children of Atom, though.

    SteveN, you have proven yourself to not be taken seriously. You stated emphatically that "Most Palestinians, in my opinion, belong on leashes." and are "savage animals" Those are direct quotes from YOU. Why should anybody take you seriously on this forum? You are an embarrassment to conservatism. The Republican party is branded as "racist" precisely because of people like you. You are also unable to address the topic of this thread.

    There’s literally videos of them doing this. Hamas proudly claimed it as truth as well as stated their intentions with the “protest”. They wanted their people to get killed for the publicity. And their goal was to get their agents over the border so they could kill Jews. Hamas openly states this. You are way late to the party. This is last months news and only racists and anti Jewish left wing bigots are still crying about it. The fact is, those were not peaceful protestors. The IDF acted as any sane nation would.

    You are derailing the thread, there are plenty of other threads about the conflict. Please reread and comment on the point which is the divide between our politicians and the democratic voters in CA. And why this is.

    I don't think dem politicians actually believe the same as their base, they just placate their base where necessary to get them to hate the alternative as much as possible and root in their power. Their congratulations to Isreal was likely an oversight they probably will correct in short order. Had they actually held the same moral system and views as their base they would not have made such an oversight but we all know their only goal is to retain their power position and ego.

    What do you want to hear about?

    How appropriate your hypothetical was?

    I think you described the most plausible comparison between whats happening in Israel and what might happen in the US.

    We already have significant terrorist cells in the US (BLM, ANTIFA) but they haven't yet risen to the level of the "Palestinian" terror ...yet, yet I say.

    They have committed acts of terrorism, they've set fires, they've destroyed buildings, they've committed thousands of assaults and even a few murders, but the Israels deal with these things on a daily basis whereas we just have our terror-seasons.

    But lets say the various leftist terror cells do escalate to "Palestinian" levels.

    I don't think anyone is going to be laughing about it because if it ever gets to that point then we're in a civil war.
