CATO is known for being an open borders type of institute, and I've assumed it's because Libertarians just don't know any better, but maybe they know more than I thought? I mean...he's right. Diverse populations reduces social trust and social solidarity, but I didn't think libertarians believed that, because how could they be open borders? But it turns out it was for the purpose of union busting and keeping welfare benefits low. These are all downstream effects of large amounts of immigration, but I'm surprised CATO knew that.
