    Healthy stock
    Their ancestors were survivors.
Ice age, floods, famines, marauders & wars.

    With an absence of famine
no wonder they are now among
    the highest longevity.
But what of their love of tobacco?
    Lessened like :flagus: ?
Less Tobacco use in :flagus: has
no doubt been the major contributor
to increased longevity. Ref.: Framingham Study
A well constructed decades long study that
    broadcasted its' results circa 1970

FRANCE has been named the best place in the world to live for the fifth year running, according to research by a US magazine. International Living - which specialises in overseas relocations - ranked 194 countries around the world for its 2010 Quality of Life Index.Jan 6, 2010
    https://www.connexionfrance.com/article/French-news/France-quality-of-life-best-in-world

Yes the life quality is decreasing for the whole "Western" World not only for France, I am sure quality of life in US is decreasing in much faster rate then in France.
Racial composition in France is comparable to US.

That helps to prove your point about the quality of life in US being low compared to Western Europe.

I think there is direct correlation between quality of life and longevity.
From my experience, quality of life in US is probably the lowest comparing to Europe and developed Asia including China.

I think this is mainly due to policies from the Left. Remember, under the Obamacare plan they decreased Medicare deductibles. That's tantamount to price fixing because under the law the doctor is prohibited from charging the patient more than a certain percentage above the amount of the government is paying for that specific procedure. As we all know, when you implement price fixing, you often get shortages.

(An old person could of course always theoretically opt out and see a private doctor who does not accept Medicare patients, but then all those taxes they had paid into the system over the years they won't get back)

I think Trump screwed up the Covid response AND America has to extract its finger in relation to developing an effective UHC

France - In 2004, it was estimated that 85% of the population of Metropolitan France was white or of European origin, with 10% from North Africa, 3.5% Black and 1.5% Asian.
USA - White alone, percent.. 75.8% ; Black or African American alone, percent(a).. 13.6% ; American Indian and Alaska Native alone, percent(a).. 1.3%.
    pretty close

Thank you for proving me right. Sounds like France is significantly less diverse than the US.

But hey, in another 20 years I'm sure France will be at the same place where the US was 20 years ago.

Many more people died from COVID in Europe with no effect on longevity.

I do not completely agree. The direct correlation is between the quality of life and Democracy.
I agree with you. The quality of life in the US is lower than Europe and developed Asia. This fact supports the correlation between the quality of life and Democracy.

    I do not know man.
I am surprised how Americans stubbornly defend their low quality of life instead to trying to improve it.

I would not trust communist statistics - if China communist party declare that average Chinese citizen lives 200 years - statistics will confirm it.
    Here is statistics more trustful:
    https://www.worldometers.info/demographics/life-expectancy/

    USA - position 46
    China - position 64

American want to improve country. Just disagree very much about how to do that.

Also politicians don't actually want to spend money on infrastructure. They lie.
Both Right and Left agree money should be spent on infrastructure, but whenever politicians get money to spend on infrastructure, very little of it ever goes to actual infrastructure.

Diversity is not measured in race. What is the population of US negro and what percentage of them are born in the US? Now, do the same study for France. An African living in France is much more likely to be part of France's diversity while the vast majority of black Americans are not diverse at all.

That's in large part because the statistics were faked. Government created plenty of incentives for false and erroneous reporting.

Another part of this, the U.S. has enough poverty and over-crowdedness that the virus could spread more, as in a Third World country, but at the same time had the medical testing facilities in place to be able to document a very high percentage of the cases where someone had the virus.

So Bowerbird, I don't believe what you claim was actually true.

And besides, the Chinese government has used some very draconian measures to try to stop local outbreaks of the pandemic, measures that would probably never be accepted in the U.S. Locking entire cities into their apartments for 2 or 3 weeks at a time. Even killing pet animals without the owner's consent.

No? Tell that to the teachers under threat of right wing retaliation due to the manufactured scares underpinning the culture wars
