Are you deliberately trying to use circular logic as an argument?

Jesus said the greatest Commandment was Love They Neighbor. Given that this was a response to the question: 'Which is the Greatest of the Lords Commandments?', we can extend not loving thy neighbor to be a sin. Pedophilia is forced/coerced, and thus cannot demonstrably be committed out of Love. You can't Love someone while forcing or coercing them to have sex with you.

Which of the Commandments does homosexuality violate, and how?

Is that Carl Marx? Communists do not approve of homosexuals acts either. They kill them. What will they do when the Democrat Party goes all the way in with Communism and starts to kill off the homosexuals, Jews, Blacks, Conservatives and so on??? The slippery slope is upon us. Hopefully, Millennials and Moderate Democrats can see this happening and leave the Democrat Party and start voting for Republicans in 2020. It's our only hope...

Are you suggesting that the only commandments are the Ten Commandments Charlton Heston will proclaim once again in a few weeks ;-)
There were other thou shalt not's besides the Ten Commandments. Also, in the NT there are condemnations against homosexual acts. Note I said "acts." We are still to love those who sin and help bring them into alignment with Christ.

I agree. Also, we have to recognize that all humans are prone to sin.

So the fact that some prelate preys on altar boys, or even that the Catholic church goes out of its way to protect that crime, is an indication of the sinful nature of mankind.

Of course, such individuals and organizations should surely pay serious penalties related to law.

I'm not trying to do anything. I'm pointing out that the Bible is every bit as silent WRT pedophilia as homosexuality.
    No He did not.
Actually, it doesn't even need to involve two people. As for child molestation, while the law properly deems children incompetent to legally consent to sexual activity, the fact is that they can consent without force or coercion, just as Adam and Eve did.
The one you cited, and the great commandment that you failed to cite.
I can't see trying to explain that to a guy who thinks a woman can be a man.

Yes. The OT states the seven deadly sins, with the worst sin being sloth - which I think doesn't actually refer to industriousness in mortal life, but in something closer to failing to follow the prescription of a religious life.

Former Archbishop Simms and others are noted for connecting the calls against same sex relations as being connected to behavior seen at the time as being part of bacchanalia - far outside the Biblical prescription of sober Godly behavior.

Marriage between loving, mutually supportive, individuals dedicated to each other for life isn't the same issue as was being addressed in the Bible.

(Ignoring for a moment the issue of why a Christian proscription should be enforced on all through the use of government. We don't have laws against ANY of the seven deadly sins. We don't have laws against the majority of the 10C. We see our government as secular. We know there is a diversity of belief.)

Thou shalt not wear clothing of mixed fabric.
I have faith you don't follow that one. But pick and choose what it is you'd like folks to follow that fits your personal opinions.
BTW - to gay person, those sex acts are completely natural.

And given that likely 50% of christians have divorced, they likely commit sin when they engage in another hetero relationship. Another sin that many overlook because it goes against their personal opinion.
So as most have faith, they alter faith to fit their lives.

In many states age of consent laws take into account the case where the two involved are below the age of consent.

But, they don't accept the consent of children when the perp is an adult.

Take Roy Moore when he was in his 30's, and move the case out of Alabama.

We don't need any more people to join the party of hate.
Millenials are the most inclusive group of people in the USA history. I'd doubt they go join the party of exclusion.

What if, as you said, humans are flawed, you have chosen the wrong religion?
Now you'd be leading them down the path that Satan could have spawned. Since it is Satan's job to be a wolf in sheep clothing, yes?

    It's only a crime per man's laws.
For it wasn't that long ago, marrying under age of 18 was normal. In fact, if a female reached 18 and hadn't been married was considered a spinster.
And in the bible, most all were married by age 18.
The mother of Jesus, a supposed virgin, gave birth somewhere between 12 and 14.

    Good points.

It hits me as ridiculous to take our law from an ancient culture. It's a sign of confusion.

That they killed people for stuff as ridiculous as listed in Leviticus SHOULD be a serious warning to separate our law from ancient culture.

According to the Talmud King David knocked up Bathsheba when she was 6 years old.

BTW, there is no mention of how Mary was determined to have been a virgin since tokens of her virginity were never produced.

Being facetious, I hope. Karl Marx died in 1883.

"Cardinal Reinhard Marx — the President of the German Bishops’ Conference — suggests a further opening with regard to the idea of establishing a blessing from the German Catholic Church to be given to homosexual couples."

Obviously the answer has no bearing on the truth value of anything I said; but of course I understand your compulsion to pretend otherwise and try to divert attention from the topic, by poisoning the well with weaselly insinuations in hopes of eliciting defensive hostility. Bad try.

I’m just curious how an unrepentant sinner can be holier than thou to anyone.

God has already given them a blessing of a reprobate mind. But, that didn't change the fact Homosexual behavior is still a sin. So, now the Catholic Church wants to contradict God and make homosexual behavior not a sin? That's what happens when clergy gets mixed up with the political leaders of other countries and becomes corrupt.

I hope god doesn’t strike all those people who engage in unnatural oral sex ...can’t even procreate, after all, thats the only reason we have sex.
I guess your woman is submissive like the Bible expects her to be....after all otherwise it would unnatural (sarcasm alert)

There is a difference between foreplay and actual oral sex to ejaculation. And, the later is a sin as it is unnatural animal-like behavior.

We don't make laws based on what a religion considers to be sin.

The rights of same sex couples don't have to pass the scrutiny of your religion.

Actually no, there is no difference. And no, it of course is not a sin.
