The 5th thru 15th centuries were profoundly Christian. The Renaissance is marked by the Reformation, the scientific revolution, and the rise of humanism, all decidedly non-Christian events.

I agree with your opinions on the Renaissance. I didn't do much research on the 5th through 15th centuries, so I am going to have to look that up.

I looked it up, and I found dystopia in Europe.

I don't think dystopia is an accurate description of 5th-15th century Europe, any more than "the Dark Ages" is. After the fall of the Roman Empire, there was certainly a power vacuum that caused western civilization to stagnate, but it wasn't anything like that imagined in popular media.

I meant to say something like "I don't want to live in that time" in a way that insults the era, if it ever could be insulted.

No need to elaborate, I have more knowledge than I need about the Middle Ages.

I wouldn't want to live in any time before there were air conditioners. I guess that makes anything before 1960 the Dark Ages for me.

Did you know that human rights were not written into Canada's constitution until the 1980's? The U.S.A. was worse.

For a Christian-dominated feces-hole, that is pretty bad by Anasi's standards, but predictable by my standards.

Ahhh... the era of anti-Semitism and slavery. Yes, we recall that from history.

The Reformation is also known as the Protestant Reformation. Protestants are Christians. The scientific revolution was not a non-Christian event as many scientists were/are Christians. The rise of Humanism didn't rise that much, as it is not, nor ever was, as popular as Christianity.

Christians did not invent slavery. Christians played a major role in ending slavery around the world. What era of anti-Semitism? Do you mean the Inquisition? It was started in response to the Reformation and other heretical movement the Church considered dangerous. The Spanish and Portuguese Inquisition focused on Jewish and Muslim converts to Christianity, "partly because they were often considered suspect due to the assumption that they had secretly reverted to their previous religions."
