Blasphemy can upset some of both religions, but right now at this time in history, some Muslims would be the more dangerous to be around if you did that

religious fanatics are dangerous, the more of them the worse off it is

If you were to ask me I would tell you there's a difference. You see I've always believed that you cannot judge a religion based upon the actions of those who do not follow what it teaches.

Meaning, Jesus would not have condoned witch trials or murdering people who refused to convert. His teachings on the matters are clear. But Mohammad would have.

well if the story is true, he got a 12-year-old girl pregnant, then waited in her womb for 9 months to be born, and we know he could have created himself from dirt like Adam (that is, if you believe Jesus and God are one and the same)

Jesus is God right, so everything in the OT was Jesus

You hold Renaissance paintings sacred? I mean, I'm a HUGE fan of art, but 'sacred' seems like a bit much. I guess some people get emotional about odd things.

But hey, you do you bro.

I wasn't mocking Jesus, I was mocking Christians (specifically those who mock Muslims).

Jesus included murderers and rapists. Love the sinner, hate the sin and all that.

As I said, I didn't watch the ceremony, but I'm pretty sure I would have heard about it including anything like that! This just seems to be about a bunch of people in flashy costumes posing and dancing, with the only stated Christian objection being that it appeared to depict The Last Supper.

If you're imagining anything more sinfully explicit than that, it's probably something for you to bring up privately with your priest. ;)

The left continues to promote and celebrate severe mental illness. Their parents must be so proud.

No he didn't. He included those who were willing to repent. Repentance means you turn away from your sin and do not commit it again.

See you make the same mistake most Christians today make. In fact they're not Christians. They're paulians. They espouse this ideology that all you have to do is confess and believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and rose the third day and all your sins are forgiven and you're going to heaven.

That's not how it works and that's NOT what Jesus taught. That's what Paul taught. Jesus taught perfect obedience.

if Jesus is a God, he only pretended to die.... can't kill Gods

and why would Jesus have to die to forgive man, seems a weird self-imposed rule, if man doesn't kill me, I can't forgive them

maybe the Bible is just a test, to see if people believe it, I mean this God was said to tell a father to kill his Son, so he is known to do some weird stuff

I do not expect to change the mind of believers, anymore then believers can change the mind of someone that believe they were born into a body of the opposite gender their soul is

I think Statistically, yes members of the Islamic faith are far more likely to desire to harm or kill people that engage in lifestyles they disagree with than that of Christians.

    Yes.

This event is just another olexample of the hyper partisan left shoving their desired cultural values down everybody's throat at every turn, in this case pushing against the faith of people by mocking their beliefs with their woke agenda.

They keep pushing and pushing and pushing and them play victim when people push back.

The victim mentality is strong, and mostly self perpetuated.

    Lol.

There is a lot of Renaissance Art, but that particular art piece is a representation of a fundamental Christian event.... it is no coincidence that was chosen to mock based upon the goal of wokism represented in the opening ceremonies.

You know this, it's just easier to attempt to dismiss.

Nope, including Muslims. The 2006 article/parody that Mohammed printed having Mohammed saying, "C'est dur d'être aimé par des cons" and reprinting the Dutch Mohammed Editorial Cartoons that depicted Mohammed in a not-so-friendly light, that's putting it very mildly. The result was the 2011 firebombing of their headquarters by Muslim Extremists.

But yeah, they make fun of anyone and everyone. That is what they are known for. And yes, they do make fun of Christians too,

A lot of Christians complain if they see Christ depicted as Black or Asian or Palestinian, etc. They complain seeing feces on the cross, etc, They even complain if they see aethiest ad after their own ad was displayed. But that tells me they are not solidified in their faith to get upset that easily.

The idea was that freedom of expression, a right in France, should not be limited. It is also possible that it was a depiction of Dionysus and the Last Supper, suggesting France's and Olympic's political stance of the absurdity of violence between human beings.

the fashion scene, a icon of French Culture in Paris had the drag queens on that runway, among other things. And that was interesting too.

Jesus was not god. He never claimed to be so. Again that's a paulian teaching. In fact Jesus explicitly refuted he was calling himself god.

And Jesus wasn't sent here as a sacrifice to save man. Jesus was sent here to correct false teachings and interpretations of the OT.

Really? So if I was to put on an art exhibition in France where I denigrated and mocked homosexuality and trannies... would that be my freedom of speech or would it be hate speech in France?

What do you think about getting a bunch of cross dressing freaks and portraying them as people sneaking into our country? Yes, there would be a Jesus......plus a Juan, Pedro and Jose. Mexico and libs would go insane.

I chose the most infamous issue, but the point was to dispute your claim that Charlie Hebdo did not mock Muslims. They did, and now you change the goalposts for timing. Geez. And i am sure they have done more than what the most infamous prodogy that they did almost a decade ago.

It could be argued that a religion that can let mockery pass with a laugh is stronger than one that reacts with violence to a comic.

France is known for its artwork, fashion shows, etc. It was showing off the culture of that city, among other things. But if you really want that sort of thing, I can give you the Philippines with the ladyboys and Thailand, especially Pattaya, Thailand. In both countries, they have conservative social cultures, especially the Philippines, but accept those people for who they are, not what they are. You seem to be in a habit of accepting or not accepting people for what they are.
