Yeah ethics is complicated. I believe an innocent's life takes precedence over a murderer's and a woman's life and how she chooses to live it takes precedence over a fetus' to a certain degree (viability). A fetus' right to life essentially grows as it does until birth when it is equal to the woman's.

Or they had to use the same "arms" available when the Constitution was written.

But they didn't. Times change, the constitution doesn't.

It's kind of ironic how many who are against abortion rationalize when people they don't like get gunned down by cops.

Bring the "precious little lives" in the world to treat them like crap.

Seriously? You have no clue about the actual argument yet?

It isn't a person yet. It doesn't have a functioning brain. It is more akin to a tumor than a person.

Of course.... I have heard all of the justifications for snuffing out a human life.

If that's what it takes to make you feel better about it than far be it for me to interrupt you.

Are you for or against capital punishment?

Spoiler alert: Read some of the posts in the thread about the 10 year old pregnant girl seeking an abortion out of state. I'm not exactly sure how it's possible, but there seems to be a severe deficit in actually understanding how pregnancy works. Most of us aren't inclined to posit on topics with which we are unfamiliar but that seems to be the criteria and driving force for armchair experts. /smdh

It isn't opinion. It's fact. If it doesn't have a functioning brain it isn't a person. In fact that is how we determine that a person is dead.

And it has no bearing on me whatsoever. But it is fact. Is it too complicated for you or do you just prefer to live in an imaginary world?

You are arguing that a corpse is a person.

The level of argument here is absurd.

Religious people take it on faith that a fetus has a soul thus making it a person. That is a faith argument. This isn't complicated. If you take the faith side away from the debate, then it becomes a person when it has high brain function.

Arguing "It's baby!!! No it's not a baby!!!" is ridiculous.

Let me see you live without a beating heart.

Stick that in your imaginary fact pipe and try to compute that

If you don't allow felons the right to vote, then they should be exempt from paying both federal and state income tax since they have no say in who our representatives are and laws that are created. Be careful since you could get what you ask for, you might get it.
