West Palm Beach may have no choice as to arresting him pending extradition so I can't fault them for planning ahead. Beyond that, we'll see.

I believe the poster is confused as it is the U.S.Department of Justice that is pursuing the prosecution of Dirty Donald, and they were doing it during his administration before Biden took office.

    Nope.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSKBN2A91CS

Which is not to say that the DOJ is not pursuing him as well, but all the brouhaha over the tax returns grew out of an investigation by the state of NY, county of NY.

I voted for Trump but I have never ever liked the guy. Even years before he ran.

Just askin, Is the state of NY that stupid? Or is it just people who think Trump was hiding in his basement doing 2000 page tax returns on 500 plus companies?

I never figured that out because I haven’t witnessed it to be true. I saw parades for trump, flags for trump, rallies for trump. People calling him god emperor and mocking anyone that dared disagree with him. I saw an insurrection attempt to stop certification of a national election while people flew his flag and chanted his name. Sure, many of you might not have been trump fans, but you were drowned out by the ones that resembled a cult and oftentimes y’all enabled him. I can understand what you are saying as most Democrats and Biden voters do not really like Biden but you won’t see us doing any of what I just mentioned because this isn’t an event, it isn’t a sport.

To your policy agenda items, unemployment largely followed trend lines set during the Obama administration and trump spent way more during “good” economic times than was done previously. His FED openly manipulated the market, they changed reporting methods, QE was in effect almost his entire presidency. I did agree with him on some immigration and regulatory policy but it always ignored all necessary review — sure we can be energy independent but when we are bringing factories online that are dumping barrels of oil into fresh water aquifers or running a wall through ecologically sensitive areas when immigration is low in those areas it no longer makes sense.

You have to understand Republicans and Democrats view government differently. Democrats want a minimum bar for everyone, they believe government should act as a force of good to improve the lives and outcomes of the majority of Americans, they believe in taking from the very wealthy to lower the burden on the very poor. Republicans believe society should build a safe society where people can succeed and become the richest person in the world or they can fall into abject poverty. Where money determines ones worth and access to goods and services even if those goods and services are required to live. This is super simplified of course.
Personally I think somewhere in the middle is the best.

I will also agree Hillary was a poor choice, I didn’t vote for her either — but I believe she would have handled issues much better than trump did with about the same level of corruption. trump brought in yes men and women, donors and highly partisan individuals (not to mention the nepotism and shady deals that benefited his lackeys) to weaken our institutions.

Except they had pretty much the same level of growth. The magic wand seemed be people that ignore data.

If the right didn’t act so cultish we wouldn’t believe they were. As to power, what party openly ignored the will of voter referendums? Which party was caught openly cheating in NC and FL? Which party has more extreme instances of voter suppression and gerrymandering? While I am sure some on the left care only for power most of them only want equal representation — which they do not have even though liberal views are the majority.

Fox news was pretty bad to Obama if I recall correctly, I am not saying that trump was ever given the benefit of the doubt but when you start your rallies calling on your supporters to assault others and you will pay the legal bills that puts a bad taste in people’s mouths. City mayors were trying to move venues because trump was not paying his bills and traffic control issues. Again, I can agree with you our media sucks — but trump craved the attention so he got it.

This is why our primary process and election system needs to be changed. It is allowing the dark money groups and political parties to pick these people instead of the people. Democrats had a few good candidates in 2016 and 2020 as did Republicans but our system would not allow them to advance. The issue is these people are hyper partisan and do not represent but the fringe elements of both parties.

Over half of US Elected Federal Representatives voted to impeach Trump twice. Over half of US Senators voted to convict and remove him from office. That clearly indicates that there was merit in the charges filed against him.

Now that he does not have the US Attorney General in his pocket and state and Federal Authorities are free to prosecute him in court. They may or may not choose to do so. Judging by AG Garland’s record I do not expect him to charge Trump for political reasons but because he feels there is solid evidence of crimes.

Unlike Barr, Garland has integrity and respect for the law. If Garland and the DOJ do decide to prosecute, it’s bad news for Trump. I’ll wait until I read any indictments if and when they are filed and look forward to reading or listening to the court transcripts.

If he is tried and convicted as were Stone, Manafort, Gates and Flynn I will assume he is guilty as hell. If he is convicted 12-0 by a jury, nothing would make me happier than seeing Trump in an orange jumpsuit being loaded into the back of a van heading upstate.

You have it backwards. Most everything is state and local charges having to do with state taxes and state and city regulations and laws, not federal laws.

Been hearing about the leftist dream now for over 5 years. And your so called elected federal representatives voted to impeach Trump twice are the same elected federal representatives who knowingly supported the fake impeachments based of falsified evidence and are an abomination to this country.

You've been hearing about the "Leftist Dream" because Trump was still hiding behind the Presidency, the only way any Republican pol can usually stay out of prison. The Abominations are Republican crooks, mountebanks and pedophiles like Matt Gaetz and Moscow Mitch

Trump is done and so is the Republican Party. Sanity has returned and the GOP should get ready for many long years out of power.

And here in lies the problem.
You didn't see Democrats banging on the doors of the SCOTUS and climbing on its statues to stop the confirmation?
You didn't see Democrats knowingly falsifying claims like Kavanaugh was an alcoholic high school serial killer to stop his confirmation?
You didn't see Democrat Mayors and Governors allowing 8 months of rioting killing Americans and Cops
You didn't see Democrats in Seattle allowing their city to be taken over refusing to allow cops to bring it to order
You didn't see Democrats refusing to allow the NG to be called in to stop the riots but now they have surrounded the Capital
You didn't see Democrats being caught red handed falsifying evidence in two impeachment attempts to remove a sitting president with false allegations
You didn't see Democrats going to Trump rallies attacking Conservatives in the streets
You didn't see Democrats attacking conservatives representatives in restaurants

You didn't see Democrats tearing down statues in our cities
You didn't see Democrat representatives calling for people to get in the faces of conservatives
You didn't see a leftist media spewing viral hatred towards a sitting president for 5 solid years 24/7
You didn't see Democrats launching their impeachment ideas the day Trump took office for no other reason than they lost an election
You didn't see Democrats, The FBI, The CIA, all coming up empty handed over a 3 year investigation claiming the president was a Russian plant

And you wonder why people were flying flags for Trump and attending his rallies in droves? The people rioting at the capital were only one of MANY insurrections and treasonous activities carried out over the last 5 years.

Thats been tried and has failed at every attempt. The problem is the elite wind up making all the rules and the other 99% wind up exactly like Venezuela. There is no such thing as making everyone financially equal or taxing the rich for the good of the commons. In every scenario that was tried, the rich simply leave and you wind up with a crashed economy as the rich took with them their job empires.

Democrats have convinced people that the rich business men and women don't pay taxes or don't pay their fair share because at the end of the year they pay very little or get money back. If that were true, who in the hell has been paying the trillions in payroll taxes, property taxes, 401Ks, to keep these businesses open? Who is paying their quarterly taxes so the IRS doesn't confiscate their bank accounts? Its a myth and if you want to see how much of a myth that really is, wait until Biden demands his 50% tax rate OVER AND ABOVE) their business debts and watch them just disappear along with hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Getting rich in this country isn't an evil thing nor is being rich. My God, I have watched 19 year old Youtube superstars driving 500K cars living in multi million dollar homes.

Republicans support capitalism but somehow, that became the root of all evil.

I agree, Trump making statements about paying legal bills was ignorant.

You sincerely want to fix the problem, heres how you do it.

    1. Every person and business pays 10% for federal taxes and we do away with the IRS. Do you even have any idea how much revenue that would generate? Right now you only have about half the country paying taxes in the first place. No more deductions, no more loop holes, EVERYONE gets 10% taken from their paychecks and EVERY business pays 10% of their net pre tax profit.

    2. EVERYONE must have a voter ID to vote. No more excuses about one race is too dumb to get an ID. If you're not a US citizen, you don't vote.

    3. Mandate that all elected offices are capped on term. End of story. No more connected old timers leaching off the people. We repopulate our government with fresh new faces and throw out every elected official past their term limit.

    4. If you bring charges against a sitting president and its discovered it was done with false allegations and falsified evidence you are held for treason by military tribunal. No more fake stories for political gain. If you make a claim you damn well better be able to prove it.

    5. No more federal funds for states who refuse to follow federal guidelines. No excuses

    6. Anyone who wants to come to America is welcome but you will pass a background check, be able to verify your identity, and if you can do that, allow them into the US and make then a citizen within one year. No more 5-7 years for application approvals. Thats idiotic.

    7. EVERY ELECTED FEDERAL OFFICER who commits a federal crime while in office, faces a military tribunal. No more years of investigations and political gaming.

    8. We pay our police officers a MUCH higher wage, That way we attract a higher caliber officer. Salaries should start around 75K if you can qualify. Captions should be in the $170 range prior to retirement. Who in their right mind would take that job for 45K a year? You know what I'm getting at.

    9. Rioters, looters, and individuals who damage businesses and federal properties get 10 year mandatory sentences.

    10. Make marijuana federally legal and release those in prison serving time on the 3 strike rule on those drug charges.

Its a start. What do you think.

So I see you are yet another CNN cultist. Well, I have some bad news for ya. EVERYONE watched the Democrats get caught faking evidence, videos, and twitter accounts during the hearings. EVERYONE found out the this elusive whistleblower worked for Shiff. Everyone watched EVERY witness that was called to testify state they never heard Trump say anything, they just heard he did. Sorry bout your luck.

    You misspelled Senility.

Most of this was not Democrats, numerous polls have been taken at BLM & AntiFa rallies and the vast majority do not support either party and very few of them vote — and none of them that I have ever seen did anything they did in the name of a Democrat or for the Democratic Party. I disagree the impeachments were built on false pretenses as did a bipartisan consensus of our elected representatives. Russian collusion was proven.
The United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence released its final report on August 18, 2020. The report concluded that there were significant ties between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russia. In particular, they noted that Paul Manafort had hired Konstantin V. Kilimnik, a "Russian intelligence officer," and that Kilimnik was possibly connected to the 2016 hack and leak operation. The investigation was led by Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) until Burr stepped aside for an unrelated investigation into allegedly illegal stock trades: Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) then led the committee. [The Hill]

Venezuela is an extreme example of what Democrats want to achieve, most of their proposals are akin to policy that exists in virtually every other first world nation.

Because we do not have capitalism.
We capitalize gains and socialize the losses, we artificially limit competition while allowing other industries to destroy their competition through legal action.

    1. So you are proposing a massive tax increase for the poor and middle class — many of which are already struggling to survive — while giving a massive tax break for many of the super rich? Do you have any examples in the world of this working?

    2. Or everyone is automatically registered at birth (active at legal voting age) or upon citizenship. No need to register. Everyone has a voter ID

    3. There are pros and cons of this

    4. What about politicians that lie about our institutions and electoral processes causing their supporters to attempt to intervene in a national election? Would they be held to the same standards? How do you feel about the numerous investigations into Hillary that led to zero charged, will all of those people be charged with treason? How about trying to weaponize unsubstantiated evidence to alter the outcome of an election?

    5. Again that could be weaponized very easily. Would you support red states losing all federal funds — and they are net receivers, many blue states would do better keeping their remittances — because they refused an immigration law? Or a gun law? Or a rule that trans people being allowed to use the facilities that match their identity? That would absolutely destroy many conservative areas economies.

    6. I completely agree, end birthright citizenship to children of non-Americans also.

    7. You sure? https://www.acslaw.org/projects/the...on-project/possible-federal-and-state-crimes/
I disagree with our military having that level of control over our elected leaders

    8. I agree, they should also be required to have professional certifications and personal liability insurance

    9. I disagree that we need more people in prison especially serving longer sentences than violent crimes for property damages. I agree the charges are too soft but 10 years for some spray paint or a window seems excessive. Our prison system has a bad habit of making people worse than when they entered.

    10. I agree.

How so??? The fact that a bunch of congresspersons want to get rid of a president is not meritable evidence of anything.

BTW, Flynn was not convicted of anything IIRC.

I think number 10 should apply to cocaine and heroin too. The medicine people take should be between them, their doctor, and God.

The rest is just the standard Ultra Plutocrat BS that the RW has been pushing here for the last few decades. Your mythology notwithstanding people who work for businesses actually DO something besides just be non-sentient cogs in the machinery. They are essential partners in your enterprises and vitally necessary to your business success. As much as employees need and appreciate business owners the relationship works both ways. The business owners employ people to make money and NOT out of the goodness of their hearts as your ideology seems to believe. Where are all the wealthy going to GO should we dare to actually ask them to pay taxes? Somaliland is not really known to have either an educated workforce or a big market to sell things to, but they do have lots of warlords.

Oh, and much as it seems you pine for it the USA is not and never will be a military dictatorship with tribunals set up to circumvent our rights to due process. Mythology about taxes notwithstanding the real reason we overthrew the King in 1776 was that he wanted to rule us as a conquered province while we wanted the Rights of Englishmen and human beings
