    Let me ask you a question. How many classroom hours from K-12 need to be spent on white man bad? Anyone who can turn on a TV or read a newspaper can see who is currently commenting all the violent crimes TODAY and who the victims are, and I’m here to tell you it’s not us crackers.

    Is it “white man bad” or “Colonialism nasty”? It is YOUR interpretation that it is “White man bad” and let’s face it the British colonialists did some pretty horrific things and it wasn’t even as bad in America as it was here with the “Terra Nullius”. If WE can face that shameful past……,,

    So how has facing your shameful past benefitted you, do you feel bad about things you had nothing to do with? Do you think countries in Asia and Africa reflect on their shameful past or move forward without letting things they had nothing to do with drag them down?

    Another question: why does history about bad things always start with the times when white people showed up? Didn’t bad things happen before whites arrived and aren’t bad things currently happening where whites aren’t involved?

    Because there was this thing called colonialism and it wasn’t just the British. It was most of Europe How are you so sure that more ancient history is NOT being taught? E.g. African history about Great Zimbabwe? Egyptian History, Hawaiian. Wait……talking to American here…….notorious for not knowing names of countries

    Look I grew up watching “Daniel Boone” and Davey Crockett and I remember being shocked to find that as a member of the British commonwealth we really should have been cheering the “redcoats”:p.

    Oh, a personal attack. If we taught the origins of slaves the left would scream racism, you know it and so do I.

    The settled science indicates humanity started in Africa and we were probably dark, even Jesus. So how did whites evolve to the point where they could dominate entire countries? Yellow people caught on and now they’re on a par with us or even better. You do believe in evolution and survival of the fittest, right?

    the darks were here first, they had every advantage. So explain how the lights leap frogged over them. Evolution? And the lights don’t even make up a majority of the global population. Snobby libs like to brag about breeding, maybe they’re on to something?

    Right. Because they are following the spineless politicians narrative as well as the liberal media narrative.

    You sound like a democrat operative or you work for the liberal media. You failed to mention the "Don't Say Gay" bill -- LOL

    Why don't you tell us how many hours IS spent on teaching white man is bad?

    Most people are not offended by history, but clearly you are, because you think you are judged by it. The rest of us accept it as fact of life. History has good stuff and bad stuff in it.

    This thread doesn't even have anything to do with white vs other races, and yet "white man the victim" is all you want to talk about. The prisoners at Gitmo were white, so it was not a racial thing.

    I don't blame DeSantis for Gitmo. He was assigned to work there as a 27 yr old Navy lawyer, but he didn't get to choose who was brought there, although he must have been in agreement that it was ok to keep them there even thought many had not been found guilty of anything. It was what it was.

    Its fun watching the left make up claims they could never substantiate because they can't come up with anything else. Do you guys just sit around at night making these up or does the media do it for you and you just regurgitate it.

    All of this crazy lefty claims were debunked years ago but here they are resurrecting old fake media claims yet again. lol You guys think JAG officers are now magically prison guards?

    Or does your imagination just allow you to think that anyone who ever stepped foot on Gitmo, who were assigned by the Navy, were all involved in force feeding prisoners?

    Retired Navy Captain Patrick McCarthy, a staff judge who supervised DeSantis during his time at Guantanamo, told the Tampa Bay Times in 2018, “DeSantis was one of the folks I recall vividly, a can-do guy and a young officer I could trust and rely on…He had very good judgment.”

    The paper reported that DeSantis “was among the officers who traveled to and from Guantanamo on at least three short, temporary assignments, a few weeks or months in length. As part of the detention center’s legal arm, McCarthy and his team were charged with ensuring the detainees received rights afforded under Department of Defense regulations and policies as well as Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions, which provides rules on how to humanely treat detainees like those at Guantanamo Bay.”

    But don't let that information stop the lefty media train. By all means, keep up the unverified and debunked information train running. Hilarious

    So if he was in disagreement with keeping prisoners at Gitmo, the Navy would just accommodate him?
    DeSantis was assigned on three short, temporary assignments, a few weeks or months in length as the legal arm of the base.
    I don't think his feelings were included in his orders.

    The reason it was called the “don’t say gay bill” was because it is so vague. I know of at least one school district in FL that has advised teachers to no longer have photos of their spouse or pride flags on their person so it has had that impact.

    Which of the two points that you replied to and didn’t answer do you not believe happened? I will be happy to source it so you can educate yourself.

    You need to be attacking our hospitals and doctors; they do this all the time to prevent death from starvation. And it's not painful for those who aren't fighting to prevent it.
    Obviously much more detrimental than shoving pedophile conduct and sexual perversion down the throats of children and calling their parents terrorists for objecting to it.

    Then you should have no problem what so ever in providing any language of the law that was so vague.
    Right?
    Bet ya won't.

    I didn't ask you for some link I can find myself.
    I asked you to provide any language of the law that was so vague.

    I try and find informed sources as I am not a legal expert, some people value information rather than just regurgitating their opinions.

    Feel free to read how the legal review of the bill makes it vague or feel free to celebrate that you could have found a source that answered the question you asked but were incapable of doing so.

    So thinking for yourself or providing your own opinion is off the table as you are hampered by the fact, you're not a legal expert.
    Thats all you had to say

    Its not called the Don't Say Gay bill
    Its called Parental Rights in Education HB 1557

    So can you identify which of the following statements in the law you are unable to comprehend or find vague on your own?
    Or do you feel you need a law degree to provide your own opinion?

    1. Requires district school boards to adopt procedures that comport with certain provisions of law for notifying student's parent of specified information;
    2. Requires such procedures to reinforce fundamental right of parents to make decisions regarding upbringing & control of their children;
    3. Prohibits school district from adopting procedures or student support forms that prohibit school district personnel from notifying parent about specified information or that encourage student to withhold from parent such information;
    4. Prohibits school district personnel from discouraging or prohibiting parental notification & involvement in critical decisions affecting student's mental, emotional, or physical well-being;
    5. Prohibits classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in certain grade levels;
    6. Requires school districts to notify parents of healthcare services;
    7. Authorizes parent to bring action against school district to obtain declaratory judgment;
    8. Provides for additional award of injunctive relief, damages, & reasonable attorney fees & court costs to certain parents.

    Prohibits classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in certain grade levels;
    This is the one my article picked up on and reviewed

    What is discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity?

    Is it a teacher having a picture of their spouse? Can a teacher discuss their family? Is it identifying someone as a male or female? Is a prince kissing a princess a discussion on sexual orientation? What about a prince kissing a prince?

    Can you easily answer all of the above and if you fail the parents get to sue you?

    Had you actually read the bill instead of leftist media tripe about don't say gay, you would have known it refers to Kindergarten through 3rd grade.
    Next

    Again, had you read the bill instead of media hype you would know it identifies not having those discussions with certain grade levels.
    Or 3-5 year olds.
    Sexual orientation is a pattern of emotional, romantic, and/or sexual attractions. It also refers to an individual’s sense of personal and social identity based on those attractions, related behaviors, and membership in a community of others who share those attractions and behaviors.
    Not appropriate for 3-5 year olds.
    Next

    Nope

    For what reason? If its to explore trans or gay information they need permission from the parents.

    Nope

    Nope

    Not appropriate for 3-5 years olds as discussed in the bill, had you read it

    If you can't answer all of the above you have no business teaching children.

    Did you have any more obvious questions regarding 3-5 year olds or does that clear things up for you?

    So a prince kissing a prince is not appropriate but a prince kissing a princess is appropriate

    Can you go into detail why one is a discussion on sexual orientation but the other is not and once you are done how can you not see this is subjectively vague

    The bill also states in addition to the 3-5 “or age appropriate” which is another vague way of making it more broad.
