Since its an open forum I can comment on any post I choose. I am not a Jew hater. I do think that a just peace is best for Israel and the people living under Israeli occupation.
No it's not the Church. And its not a new Israel. Its Israel. The same He gave the promises to in the Old Teatament. Quantrill
Concerning the land, I agree with God. It belongs to Israel. As Jesus Christ would agree also. As for running a nation, every nation has things it will answer for. But, Israel does not run a nation, as no nation does, as if it were a church. Quantrill
I never claimed it was a new Israel. THe Church as in the Christians are the chosen people. The Gentiles grafted in. He gave the promises. But there was a deal. The Jews ahd to keep their part of the deal. They didn't when they did not accept Jesus.
Only if you worship Cyrus Scofield... Deep inside the Book of Jeremiah, God pleads with those who will listen, and leave, ancient Judah. 14 jeremiah 24:5 5Yahvah the god of Israel says: Like these good figs, so I will acknowledge the exiles of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place to the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
Its a continuation of the old and new covenants. Its a work in progress. You think God lemited himself to one nation? To Abraham the Lord did say through him all nations will be blessed. Christ tore down the wall between nations Gentiles and Jews and brought them together.
Here is another point Quantrill; Since the Zionist are killing innocent Christians to, are they no better or worse then the Muslim fanatics who kill Christians? Or how about the second class citizenship of the Arabs? Wasn't what American ancesotrs did to blacks wrong? How can any racism from Jews or non be okay to support? Another one; I hear you Christian zionist always talking about teh big bad Muslims who kill Christians in middle east. Its tragic. There are maryters now in Egypt. But what about the Martyrs who are killed by Zionist? You think that is okay because since the killer was Jewish, its somehow sanctified?
Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. When Revelation was written to the 7 churches.. they understood the symbolism.. even if we mess with it and try to apply it to current nations and the future.
I agree whole heartedly. I believe Revelations was literal, but not completly. It is called Revelation for a reason. It was a revelation to the christians at the time. Have you ever herd of Scott Hahn?
Catholic author and theologian???? I don't know much about him.. What would you suggest? I hated reading Revelation until I started looking at in the historical and political context of the times.
A book called The Lambs Supper. It is very Catholic though, so you might not like it to much. But he relates revelations to the mass. And to other things. If you are interested go to http://www.salvationhistory.com/ Its legit. I signed up over a month ago, they offer free onlince bible courses and one is about Revelations. Here is the tittle and description- The Lamb's Supper: The Bible and the Mass Course Description In this course we explore the intimate and inseparable relationship between the Bible and the Mass. Following an overview of the Eucharist in the New Testament, we look at the deep roots of the Mass in the biblical history of sacrifice - a history that culminates with the Last Supper and the institution of the Eucharist.
That the judgement of God was upon Judah is true. Just as it is true that He would bring them again to the land. Jeremiah 29:10 " For thus saith the Lord, That after seventyu years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit yu, and perform my good word toward yu, in causing you to return to this place. " Jer. 30:10-11 " Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; meither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. " Half truths are nothing but lies. Quantrill
Yes, and that is the Church. But Israel will still be Israel the chosen people of God upon the earth in whom the promises found in the Old Testament will be fulfilled. Quantrill
A study of the origins of the Ashkenazim and of the Khazars might throw a little new light on some of these thoughts.
The New Jerusalem coming down is not symbolic. It will happen just as it says. Chapters 1-3 are to, and concern the churches. The rest is for the Church to understand but is not about the Church. Quantrill
