    I know this has been mentioned on here before, but just give this little a moment of your time. Did "O" just declare a "National Emergency"? WTH??

    What is he trying to do? At this point I am confused about his intentions. Perhaps a false flag and a handy little war just before the big elections??

    If this is the case, Lord help us...

    No. We are not at war with Iran. The executive order imposes additional sanctions on Iran. They've had sanctions on them of one sort or another for decades. A lot of the language recited in the video was from previous sanctions from years ago.


    Next irrational fear....

    It's too bad that Obama wimped out during the "Iranian Spring" of 2009 that pre-dated the Arab Spring of last year.

    If he had backed the Iranian people then in their struggle against the crazy mullahs in Tehran we would be in a much stronger position now.

    Obama is a screw-up and no doubt this will turn out to be more costly than it needed to be when its all over.

    Sanctions are a diplomatic tactic.

    We are not at war. Are you really so dense?



    Seeing as how some people seem to be so opposed to sanctions, I'll assume that people object to more forceful actions and I'll mark all the critics here down as being against a war with Iran......and see how that holds up in terms of intellectual consistency.

    The sanctions should have begun in 2009 when the Iranian people were crying out for help against the crazy mullahs.

    But Obama was on the golf course and missed the opportunity.

    There's a history of sanctions against Iran here. Maybe you missed it, but some of that history was even mentioned in the OP video. Read up.

    ...or persist in your current delusions....

    Do we really need to be involved in Iran in any way right now, other than imposing sanctions and making sure the Hormuz strait stays open?

    That's good enough for me.

    Although I hope we have spies and special ops in Iran training the anti-governent Iranians how to overthrow the regime if the opportunity presents itself.

    But if Iran demonstrates a nuclear bomb all bets are off for the US, Saudi Arabia and the Israeli's.

    To be a world player you need to be involved everywhere. What role that involvement is can depend but you can't hide within your borders and expect to have any influence throughout the world.

    The Right Wing cries about how Obama is a wimp.

    The Republican Presidential candidates call Obama an "appeaser" and shout how they will "bomb Iran into glass"!

    Had we jumped into world war 1 and 2 quicker those may never have happened. Had we supported the French a bit more they may have taken on the fight in Vietnam and not ended up taking out their frustration in Algiers.

    I can't really see a lot of cases when not getting involved turned into a positive thing.

    So tell me, If the U.S. had of told Hitler, "NO way Jack", in 1938 how many lives do you think it would have saved???? SAME THING HERE!!!
