Do you still think Trump is racist?

Because apparently less ethnic minorities think he's racist ...and it seems like they would be the ones to know.

Is it possible that maybe, just maybe, the media has been deceptive in its portrayal of Trump as a 'white/ethnocentric nationalist'?

 

Just to help you brush up on math, 13% approval from blacks would also mean 87% non-approval.

 

Impossible to know what anyone truly believes. His rhetoric regarding the southern border could suggest racism, but Trump is a politician and says what he believes people want to hear. He might not be racist. Or he might be. Who knows?

As for the voting habits of minorities, people vote based on what they value. They either didn’t think he’s a racist or at least not enough of one to outweigh their reasons for voting for him.

What makes you think that? No they wouldn't. Minorities are just as racist as anybody else.

I lived a long time among hispanics. No difference. Many are even racist against other hispanics just because they're from a different country.

 

Are you suggesting ethnic minorities voted for someone who hates their ethnicity?

Would that suggest, at least, that if Trump is still 'racist', his 'racism' isn't deemed a credible threat by those 'races' he 'hates'?

 

Hispanics are MANY ethnicities. Cuban-Americans are VERY different from Venezuelan-Americans, Mexican-Americans, ... etc. For example, most Cuban-Americans keep their language generation after generation... most Mexican-Americans tend to discard it and not teach it to their children. There are MANY differences.

But you have to keep this in perspective: Harris DID win the majority hispanic. Just like among the white population, most hispanics are NOT racist. However, many will be just as willing to stab in the back fellow hispanic newcomers who try to make a better life for themselves as white MAGAs are.

Trump is a racist. But, more importantly, he exploits the racism in his followers.

He's definitely a racist. But so is Biden. Plenty of folks hold their nose and vote for a racist when they think it's still in their best interest.

Hispanics who are against illegal immigration are against it for multiple reasons that are the same as anybody else who is against it. But this thread is specifically about ONE reason: racism.

 

Apparently you guys DO need that explained to you if you think 13% is supposed to immediately get them off the hook for potential racism.

 

Oh, and to answer the OP's question in the title of the thread itself, Trump himself might not be racist but his words and actions make racist feel a lot more comfortable and bolder saying things they've always thought. In other words, making them think they have a set of balls.

 

Guess what, it doesn't matter. You guys don't have to try and race hustle so hard anymore, he can't be elected again so all those lies are a waste of time at this point.

Yes, he's definitely still racist. I go with his words, not some polling from people who may have not even heard those words. His company discriminated against black people. He said Jews are obligate to vote for him (on par with Biden's comments about black people), and he has repeatedly appealed to the dual loyalty racist concept of Jewish people . . . something Omar was called racist for doing . . . except he actually did it and she didn't. He's said there should be a racial test for who can hear his court cases. And he made INSANELY racist comments about Harris's race. He's a racist piece of ****.

Whether or not Trump is a racist, the only thing that matters to Trump (and helps Trump at the polls) is that the people who are racists think that Trump is a racist...
And, that is all that Trump needs...

He hasn't been sworn in, "sir." He is not the president. He is president ELECT (a label your side refused to use for Biden after his win . . . curiously). I know that has been a constant source of confusion for his side, with even some on this forum saying Trump will be president in November. He will not. He will be president in January. And, yes, @Andrew Jackson is correct. There are plenty of racists who care that they think Trump supports their cause. Ever hear of Richard Spencer? Hell, he even has a rabid white nationalist ON HIS ****ING STAFF.
