Donald Trump Jr. called out corporate media and Democrats who, in the wake of an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, are equivocating and victim-blaming Republicans for the political violence and bloodshed.

“The leftwing media and Democrat political hacks are actually trying to ‘both sides’ some psychopath attempting to assassinate my father,” the former president’s son said in a post to X on Sunday.

“Just when you think these people can’t get any lower, they always do!!!” he added.

The shooting doesn't appear to be politically motivated. Don Jr. is sort of like Trump, but without talent and stupid in all ways instead of just where it counts for policy.

They lie a lot. A lot more than the liberal ones do. Much like with Trump, you just don't care/notice because they serve your ends.

 

If I was 16 yrs old 4 years ago and constantly hearing about how this evil dictator (who was already president for 4 years by the way and didn't do any dictator things) is going to destroy democracy, load any opposition into camps, put any news show hosts he doesn't like into camps (Said by actual news hosts on MSNBC), and completely reign with "white supremacy rule"....I don't know...I might be raging (but too sensible to act on it),
Even though I do blame left wing MSM, I still personally think they should be able to say whatever they want. I hold humans to a higher standard that most have not yet reached.

 

Reading that, I would say it supports this was NOT politically motivated. More of a guy who hated his life and wanted to be famous. Fox News (edit: actually fox news did a better job than your link) is really trying to make you believe it was political, though. But with the information from the witness? No, doesn't sound like he's a highly political guy.

The key points I guess are he thought the guy was stupid for supporting Trump as a hispanic, that he didn't like politicians in general (the quote says politicians in general, your link says republicans), and that he spoke arrogantly about politics. And yet... the guy has no political footprint on his personal devices and no political motive uncovered interviewing 100 people who knew him.

 

I'll take all the examples you can throw at me, just don't bring up Dominion because 1) that's a one off. 2) CNN and MSNBC are currently being sued for lying, the culprits are Tapper, Wallace and Maddow.

 

Same argument can be made about all the lies Repubs have pushed about stolen election, Dems are going to destroy the country, turn into socialist country, Biden is a dictator and fascist, they’re gonna take our guns away, and on and on. Wouldn’t 20 yr olds be raging over that? If someone attempts to assassinate Biden will you also blame right wing media and Trump? Just trying to see if you apply the same standard evenly.
For the record, I wouldn’t blame left OR right. I put blame on the actual shooter.

 

Dominion is a one-off? Fox News is constantly trying to spin things and promote republican-promoting narratives. Remember birtherism? They gave Trump a platform to promote that garbage. I think the main difference between them and more fringe conservative info sites is that they more often frame it as "just asking questions" than "this is proof." They try to manipulate without overt lying when possible. But what's usually clear is their mission is to be the propaganda arm of the republican party rather than objectively report the news.

 

I could go on and on about the les told by CNN and MSNBC, but nothing was probably worse when, back in 2016, if anyone was about to say something negative about Clinton the satellite feed was suddenly lost.

 

Many Americans tend towards idealism, rather than realism.

This was very visible during the war in Vietnam, when it was said that
we would in all probability lose, but we must not fail to fight for the freedom
