In order to win reelection in 2020 Trump will need approval ratings higher than 50%.

I am fully expecting Trump to have approval ratings lower than Bush jr in 4 years time.

'Well to be honest, if the media keeps making up polls, it won't matter.

Threatening the media is what wannabe dictators engage in doing.

Trump does not control the media and he is about to learn the hard way that they can expose him in all kinds of ways that he won't like and reporting the truth about his is perfectly legal and the courts will uphold the right of the media to do so.

It's possible, but it's also possible he brings down many of these in the tank media establishments. We shall see.

Trump is going to have a very hard time learning on the job and if he is dumb enough to take on the media before he has even figured out how to do the job he is going to be deservedly ridiculed.

When exactly did the media have a good relationship with potus?

I'm playing msm vs. Bush 2 in my head right now, especially cnn, and my memories are completely the opposite of yours.

It's one of the reasons I rarely if ever tune into cnn, I've been pissed at them for a dozen years.

I see, so you haven't learned the lesson from Trump's victory. I sure hope the Democratic party leaders do, as I don't want him in office for 8 years.

    I concur with your observations.

Trump figured out how to work around the MSM a long time ago by taking his message straight to the people via social media. Look what he just did here:

He released his update on the transition on YouTube.

How many times have we heard Obama's sycophants and lapdogs in the #BOWDOWN MSM whining about lack of access?

Things are about to get a whole lot worse for those crybabies...

    The Obama administration.

The MSM gave Obama a complete pass going back when Obama was running for President back in 2007.

The facts are, the MSM helped put Obama in the White House and have been giving Obama a complete pass, even today. They had to protect their boy who they helped put into the White House.

As Wikileaks exposed, CNN, ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, MSNBC, N.Y. Times, Washington Post, the Huffington Post were all in collusion with the Hillary campaign and the DNC.

    Huh??

It was, still is, and will continue to be the media (democrats posing as reporters) that kiss the a$$ of Hillary and Obama.

Hillary and Obama can use and abuse the media in a way that would make a wife beating drunk blush and their response would be "thank you may I have another"

I'd have walked in, plainly stated that everyone in this room can suck my..., and walked out.

That's about all that they deserve.

    Absolutely fantastic.

The media needs a lot more of this - an *** chewing. They are a massive, disgusting problem that gets absolutely no legitimate feedback to their BS. There is no checks and balances to this kind of "information." This makes me smile knowing this happened.

Clint stole it from George Putnam. He was the first to interview the empty chair. Clint Eastwood knew George Putnam.

Most at the RNC and those Americans not from the L.A. area didn't get it.

Fox News needs to bring back the leg chair.

I'm saying no matter what Trump does, the media is going to focus on him. The media is under scrutiny from the public is had best be on their best behavior.

That's the way it should be...

Trump is basically like "go (*)(*)(*)(*) off if you don't agree with my ideas" and that is what is needed and it's certainly transparency. I mean that attitude made the man one of the richest people in the United States..

If I was Trump I would ignore progressives for the next 2 years at least....

Progressives are really useless, they somehow make problems worse, so they're going to need to be absolutely ignored and rejected if we are going to make economic progress.

    No. No he's not.

Patton was a soldier, one that changed wars. (The main reason Hitler did not reinforce the Normandy defense.)

Trump is a businessman, he wants the money for he and his own.

Either are equally suitable leaders, just different styles for different times.

Hitler was a corporal when he was a soldier and they say he was a better than average corporal.

Patton like Trump was a narcissist.

Patton like Trump was filthy rich, Patton was the riches officer in the U.S. military.

Patton used his own money when he and his buddy Eisenhower were building the Army's first made in the USA tank.
Trump used his own money while campaigning for President.

Patton like Trump wasn't politically correct and despised political correctness.

Patton like Trump used naughty words.

Patton like Trump said bad things about Mexicans.

Patton like Trump worse enemy was what comes out of their mouth.

When you look at Patton and Trump they kinda look alike as if they're related.

Did you know that Patton was related to Chesty Puller ?
