OK, folks, this is bad. See this study done with US veterans, comparing immunity in March with what they had 6 months later in September, for the Delta variant.

    https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abm0620

Moderna: from 89% to 58% protection.

    Pfizer: from 87% to 45%.

    J&J: from 86% to 13%!!!!

Get boosters. And keep being prudent; keep using other protections (masks, social distancing, etc.) because just the vaccines won't cut it.

The thing is, the numbers aren't Delta specific. The results are a mix of earlier variants and Delta. I have seen no data that only reflects Delta infections only. It is my belief, and the left refuse to accept it, that breakthrough infections are only rare when it comes to the earlier variants and that breakthrough infections are actually extremely common if you are only talking about the Delta variant, which is the very dominant variant we have seen over the last few months.

This also applies to vaccine efficacy. The data they present is a mix of the earlier variants and Delta, not just Delta alone. I personally don't believe the vaccine efficacy is waning due to time, but to the fact that the vaccines don't really work so well against the Delta variant. That's why the effectiveness of the vaccines is "waning" because, over time, we are seeing much more Delta infections and the vaccines don't work so well against the Delta variant. Now I do see that the vaccines continue to be helpful in decreasing hospitalizations and deaths but they don't do diddly at stopping the spread of the virus, which is why it continues to spread, even in the most highly vaccinated areas of the world. In other words, both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated are spreading the virus equally, which means that vaccine mandates are not necessary because they don't stop the spread and because individuals should have the choice if they want to risk Covid or risk vaccines which have killed people and have led to many very serious adverse reactions.
