Ukraine's wounded return to the front as soon as possible because that's where they want to be.
More important, from the original Washington Post story:

Oie mate .. some of the wounded .. 50% of the teen lads if lucky make it back to the trench .. where they have another 4 hour tour followed by either another visit to the Hospital or the dirt nap. Problem is that there is no more vets left .. vast majority of those in the trench green-untrained. none of the initial 500 in the Battalion are left .. all either having the dirt nap or too injured to return..

Told you -- got a man-power problem already .. and Ukraine has yet to conduct an offensive .. by end of summer .. around the time when they projected to run out of ammo .. gonna start running out of meat to feed into the grinder. .. gonna be a grim xmas 2023.
