Sure, but in the end of the day it's your faith that saves you. The thief on the cross was saved by his faith only moments before his death, so he didn't have a chance to do anything to earn his salvation.

I'm more of a diest than a Christian. I have an unshakeable belief in a supreme being. And I believe we are literally Gods off spring. And he loves us all as if there were only one of us. The upshot of that is we all will progress as God sees good for us. I don't believe God will damn us eternally; any of us.

No one has been to "hell" and come back to explain what it means. The Bible has multiple descriptions of it, one of which (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9) says it means people are "shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might" and it says that is same as eternal destruction. Another talks about destruction of body and soul. Those passages suggest life ends at death and there is no life after death. Other passages paint a more grim picture , but none support the universal salvation idea.

The bible is a good book, or so they say. Never put much faith in it myself. There are a lot of good lessons in it, and a lot of bunk. It was put together as a means of crowd/mind control by Constantine.

"When I was a child I thought as a child and behaved as a child. When I became a man I put away childish things."

My "father" would never damn me to hell anymore than I would wish bad for ANY of my children. There's a gap between your faith and mine that we probably won't bridge here.

Being eternal and omniscient, He knows who will go to heaven and who will go to hell.

This shows the failure of reddit atheism. Atheists were having a moment a decade ago but it turns out believing in nothing isn't really a way to live. Richard Dawkins, probably the king of the atheists, said in a recent interview that he considers himself a cultural christian, which is quite a confession for someone who has spent a career deriding it.

I think that Dawkins, Musk and others who don't have any religious faith per se, still want to live in the type of societies that Christianity has birthed. I agree; they are just better places to live and are more humane to boot. We'll miss them when they're gone.

You cannot end a discussion on religion because you cannot prove which one of the several thousand that exist is correct, if any of them are.

The biggest factor of what religion you believe is where were born. If you were born in Iran you would be a Muslim. In Israel, Jewish. In China, Buddhism or Taoism.

Republican politicians focusing on religion and how they feel is the issue. And it will always be an issue. They seem to be getting more extreme as they lose power and members.

Religion is an act of faith.
You either believe and accept, or you don't.

Elon is a useful puppet to the Zionists as he stokes for support for the Anti-Woke people but, steers people towards the Jewish controlled media outlets that look at surface level problems rather than core of it. This is really just removal of the extreme Leftism & Anti-White rhetoric that has left the younger White men pushed out of society. Now they're toning it down because there is going to be a hot war in the Middle East soon and that means the need for warriors again. Not the DEI types that are solely in the military for citizenship, money, food, shelter, etc. They need White men back in the military if they're going to wage their wars. In reality they're still going to replace Whites in their own country but, they'll stick to subtle tactics rather than the overt Anti-White practices of today.

Oh 100%. And I completely support your right to believe in whatever religion you have chosen to believe in.

I do not support when you try and install those beliefs to where they impact others against their will nor should anyone be forced to fund your religion.

We agree. Believe what your soul (or whatever) tells you to. Don't impose your beliefs on others, don't restrict others beliefs.

Which raises the whole question of the ten commandments in public spaces, doesn't it?
