Beware of anyone who says they can predict the future of anything. As the world turns so does everything else so the Market will always be in a state of flux. I'm heavily invested in the Market and I know enough to let my portfolio ride out the highs and lows.

It's simple. The market and our economy is not on solid ground at all- it's a big balloon of BS propped up with gross overspending corrupt financial management and propaganda- and it's very unstable, it cannot go on indefinitely. Every day it goes on, the crisis it's building grows bigger. Far bigger than a recession, possibly a genuine depression, if it's not addressed soon.

If we return to reality and prudent fiscal management, the balloon will fall- and in a more controlled process than a burst, and then the rebuild on a solid base can begin. The longer it's kept afloat by false means, the harder it will be to resolve.

It will happen, but denial and delay makes it more and more dangerous. The sooner we deal with it, the easier it will be and the sooner we can stabilize the economy for the future.

Yes, that is true. My prediction is that Congress will not pass Trump agenda for the very reason that it would wreck the economy and the markets, and the Congress reps would not get re-elected. If they kill the agenda, then the markets would be spared.

We heard all this last time and the economy and the markets boomed as soon Trump was declared the victor.

A pebble on the road compared to the boulder that is the uniparty/ deep state / plutocracy who seem to want WW3 like nothing else. They have fooled a lot of people into effectively supporting it, they just can't get enough people to sign up for active duty or support it directly...yet. But I am sure they are working on it, and enough people are just completely sleep walking on such issues.

A severe enough economic crisis could be just the catalyst they need. The combination of sleep walking and an empty belly is a really great way to get people to fall into even obvious traps.

Kamala is leading in the most recent polls. That is why the markets are up.

Totally agree, unfortunately Republicans and Democrats have opposite solutions - Republicans think that lowering taxes (especially on richest Americans) is the solution, Democrats think that increasing taxes (especially on richest Americans) is the solution.
We know that Trump solution during his 4 years increased the deficit by almost $8 trillion, we are not sure what will be Bidens part, probably more or less the same, but Biden did not implement tax increase. Does not matter who will win, we will have interesting times.

I look at the Trump deficit in the light of the Covid crash that shut down businesses, schools and generally strangled our productivity.

Trumps tax plans primarily affected corporate income tax. The CEO's of those corporation did not get a personal income tax reduction.
The objective was two things; to keep American companies in America, and to allow them to be price competitive and grow. That translates into more jobs and lower prices- good for everyone.

I'm far from the richest class, but I've usually been in the top 10%- which provides 70% of all federal income tax revenue. That is7% per each 1%

The 40% in between the 50% and 10% provides 27% of all such revenue. That's 0.68% per 1%over 10 times less than the top 10% per person.

The lower 50% provides only 3% of it. That's .06% per each percent,
or 116 times less than the top 10% per person.

I have a hard time buying the claim that the rich don't pay their fair share.

    No matter.
Whether Musk, or Trump, or Harris or Walz.

We get the debt under control, now, or suffer the eventual collapse of our government's house of financial cards.

And it will require severe cuts. At least 30% across the board.

Why can't anyone see this, and accept it?

Unfortunately, Trump will bypass Congress entirely for some of the most destructive of his plans: his tariffs. And I doubt they will take him to court over it. They didn't last time.

I witnessed the effects of the 2008 stock market crash on a small business, a restaurant of 75 employees. Business declined so much that hours were cut to 7-hour days, health insurance increased, and it stayed that way for at least 6 years when I retired. Maybe they still only work 7 hours per day.

It would have been easy to start WW3, but........it no one started it, which goes on to prove the "deep stage" stuff is just another conspiracy saga among so many others

Revelation 13:11-18 NIV - The Beast out of the Earth - Then I saw - Bible Gateway

11 Then I saw a second beast [False Prophet], coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon.

12 It exercised all the authority of the first beast [Antichrist] on its behalf and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed [assassination attempt but only wounded his ear].

13 And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people.

14 Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword [AR] and yet lived.

15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

Revelation 19:20 NIV - But the beast was captured, and with it - Bible Gateway

20 But the beast [Antichrist] was captured [indicted], and with it the false prophet [Musk] who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast [red MAGA cap] and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

With these verses in mind, maybe the Trump/Musk team should be glad to lose the election and not risk what the Bible says.

Actually, Trump is proposing the biggest tax hike in US history, and it will apply to everyone.

I wish people knew more about that second image. I see Trump supporters share images of Trump as the God Emperor of Mankind from Warhammer 40k . . . all too frequently . . . and it's not as good of a look as they think it is. Then again, the fandom for that setting can get really toxic and far right and frequently don't get the whole point.

Keep telling yourself this, everyone need some level of comforting. Facts and reality bury your balanced budget and Trump could balance anything.

Turf that 2021 link, it's during Covid being solved by Joe.

Most people can work their way around types, and if you dont know what a saga is, you can always google it.

Have I been drinking? Of course I have, but only one drink of fine rum so far, but that's after the post. Do not hesitate to ask a friend if you need help understanding what people say.

Sorry, you're posting first a link to 2021 and now a link to the Russian Puppet, Donnie's, House. That's as close to the smell of B/S as it gets. The gaslighting game is very weak, very weak.

Ahhh so we don't count 2021? I GUESS it's because the DNC has conditioned the base to ignore covid and pandemic job recovery..

    I understand :pc::roflol:
