Lots of division on how people should proceed with their lives while we are dealing with this outbreak. Trump has suggested 15 days of no groups, but what is the condition of not extending all these suggestions that are leading local governments to ban where we go, or close schools and businesses in response. If they don't set conditions on what will set us back to normality, expect the mandates, cancellations and bans to keep extending and coming. I would not want to be in San Fran right now, but really; who's next to take this measure?!

I haven’t seen any anger in Dallas. No shouting or cursing, etc. But people are always nicer in Texas.

My brother-in-law in Philadelphia was accused of hoarding when he tried to buy a few water bottles, even though there was no sign stating there was a limit.

I think flexibility and common sense are the key here. Hysteria isn't helpful.

To my point about common sense, it's mind-boggling that it's taken this virus to get it into people's heads that it's not a good idea to go out in public when you've caught an infectious disease. If you get the Wuhan Virus, stay home. If you get the flu, stay home. If you get any other contagious illness, stay home.

How is it that we need the government to tell us this???

I'm not going to harsh on people who are not sick for going about their normal lives and routines, either. Not every community is Seattle or San Francisco.

We stopped overnight in El Paso on Friday. The Texas Roadhouse by our hotel was completely slammed. 45 minute wait, people crammed into their waiting area. Americans (including me obviously) have to be the stupidest idiots on the face of the planet.

The Election of Trump (A Conspiratorial Racist, Misogynist, Rapist--Who Spews Every Tinfoil Hat Mantra in Existence) is what led to this "Culture of Incivility".

^That is Universally Accepted (and Beyond Question).

Having an IMBECILIC Bully in Office (at this time of crisis) is a Tragedy for America.

This is daft advise. EVERYONE needs to stay home! I mean, hello? If everyone waits until they're sick to self quarantine we won't stop the spread and our medical system WILL collapse.

For how long should everyone stay home? Can I work, or do we have to wait until the virus is eradicated? Maybe a drop off in cases, which is more realistic than eradication. Maybe people can go out when the vaccine is made? I feel some of that is what I choose to risk, if people want to self quarantine for their own protection for an indefinite amount of time it does not offend me.

In a way it's not their fault since this is the generation conditioned to BELIEVE that the world orbits around them and that if anything does go wrong for them in their lives then their parents or the government will snap their fingers and make it all better.

You don't (only) self quarantine for your own protection - YOU DO IT TO PROTECT OTHERS! If you are out and about then you are an irresponsible imbecile. I'm sorry, but with the information we have you should know better.

Yes, I just got a notification about that. They're closing down bars, limiting restaurants to 50% capacity, and limiting groups of beach goers to 10 people per group (not sure how that one works....)

I guess business owners' relief at still having a bustling Spring Break was short lived.

The election of Trump only pissed off the people who can't handle the truth that America will never survive in a liberal utopia full of political correctness and freebies paid for by hard working Americans.

Do you really care about others? I'm more concerned with my family and friends than I am "others."

Like the "freebies" of Corporate Welfare that Trump will use to bail these companies out?

    Got it.

Hopefully several of the ailing industries will not need financial bailouts, such as the airlines. Requiring airports to stop 'slot' requirements would eliminate a number of airline issues.

What industries are on the welfare line?

    The Airlines, for sure.

I think Trump was talking about $54 Billion.

Also, Shale Oil Companies are (apparently) in line for a handout.

    Certainly there will be others.

I'm not surprised. And yes I care about others. You don't have any family or friends in the high risk group? I do...

This is the hysteria I was talking about.

I'll exercise common sense and follow the directions of the CDC and our state and local authorities, instead.

It's not hysteria, it IS common sense though. It's also in line with the CDC recommendation. Get with the program!

I've been with the program, and neither the CDC nor my state and local authorities have directed me to stay home.

If the economy collapses because we are not working we will all be out on the streets homeless. That is a bigger threat to our health than the virus.
