Remember January 6, 2021? Well a lot of visitors to the Capitol in DC recall it.

Aghast they learned in the media that rather than visitors, they became rioters.
Rather than citizens, they were overthrowing the government.

Well now Justice department calls them unlawful paraders.

And they want to jail them for 2 months.

    Can you believe that?

Current VP advocated for bailing those rioters out of jail. Insanity.

The defendant in that story, Robert Reeder, got sentenced to 3 months in prison and was ordered to pay $500 in restitution.

He filmed a video which appears to show him inside the capitol building. There is not really any direct evidence of him personally doing anything illegal other than the fact that he was in the building at a time he was not supposed to be (trespass) and he said in the video he took "Just left the Capitol, I was one of the last people out. I was in there for over half an hour. I got gassed several times inside the Capitol, many times outside the Capitol. Got shot with pepper balls. It was ****ing nuts. We had to do...ah... battle with the Police inside. It was crazy...absolutely insane."
Additional smaller things he did were chanting "USA, USA!" in a crowd outside the door of the building, recording someone else assaulting a police officer, and telling another officer "You need to retreat!"

It seems he was mainly punished for criminal trespass and just being a part of the rest of the group. Although his description that can be heard in the video makes it sound like he was perhaps involved in other altercations with police. (That is really not solid evidence)

He pleaded guilty to "Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building" as part of a plea agreement, with the $500 restitution as part of the plea agreement.

What do you think now? Trump's own family, attorneys, and many Republicans say the election was not stolen and Jan 6 was a violent attack on our system of government instigated by Trump. So what do you think now?

I still can't believe that folks regurgitate this BS. Does it make you feel all tingly to write this trope?

When democrats turn off the cameras, suddenly election results change. Criminal? So hard to know since democrats won't allow any real investigation into those events. And any mention of it gets the attack dogs our bullying folks even here. Gosh, the coincidence...

So you think Trump's kids, attorneys, appointed judges, and more and more Republicans are all lying, or confused, or photoshopped, or . . . . . . . what?

All the testimony has been from Republicans under oaths. Other Republicans who could contradict that testimony under oath have pleaded the 5th.....hmmm
