Same there, I trust FSB MUCH more than organisations, that for generations worked on destruction of the country I been born in. But, it's not FSB that makes accusations of an international crime. Heh. No one is seeking to "genocide" your nation. Opposing Russia's antics in Syria and Ukraine (not to mention past theaters, such as Afghanistan and Georgia) is a far cry from seeking Russia's destruction and the killing of its people.

Would you be surprised to find out that that's how normal everyday Russian citizens feel about us thanks to our oversensationalizing hypersensitive media when it comes to Russia? I wouldn't. The media needs to tone it the **** down.

 

From the normal, everyday Russians I've encountered, that isn't the case at all. I'm sure there are a few who fall for Russia's right-wing nonsense, though. No one is immune to that crap, unfortunately, and Putin dishes it out in spades.

 

It may be a far cry - but three of my relatives loosing jobs in past two years is not a far cry, it's a ****ing disaster. An obvious disaster for minor business, while corporations expand, taking the emptied space.

Well, I do remind you - people aware that NATO keeps trying to encircle country in anti-missile defences, that practically negate our nuclear arsenal and expose country to the classic warfare. Russia has invaded Ukraine and stolen its territory in what it calls a referendum and thereby pretends is a peaceful, legitimate action, so of course NATO is going to respond. It practically exists to protect Europe against such aggression and was even more important when the USSR existed, being the rather sizable threat that it was. There is a good reason there have been no "referendums" in NATO countries, and you'll notice that Russians aren't being persecuted there either.

 

Well, it's their actions that are leading to the current problems. They like to play innocent and claim that the US and NATO are out to get Russia. It helps them cling to power domestically. It always helps to have an external enemy and villain.

As for NATO itself - it exists as a projection of raw, brutal, ruthless power. Between dissolution of USSR and 'russian agression' passed twenty three years, during which NATO expanded twice and kept encircling territory of my country with anti-missile defences. Not any other country - MINE!

They're not. Have we violated Russian sovereignty? No. Has Russia invaded a European country and is it supporting a separatist movement there in addition to having stolen a part of its territory? Yes. Go ahead, look into that mirror.

 

And in what way suddenly Ukraine is more of a european country than RF? Or since when THAT is even matters? What, countries in Asia or in America now do not have same sovereignity as european country?

NOT TO MENTION the fact that this 'invasion' is still not proven. Thankfully, we have the International Court of Justice now working on that matter, and they work with facts - not a propaganda of USA or RF. Or Ukraine, considering they'll need a lot of propaganda to hide fact that their president had subjugated to wishes of a neo-nazy group.
