14% of the French population is now foreign-born. In the U.K. that percentage is 14.4%, and in the U.S. it is 13.7% (26% if you count their children too).

Let me repeat: They are not in Top-20 and there are 17 Western nations ahead of them when it comes to immigration, and the protests have nothing to do with immigration no matter how you try to spin it that way. Its about retirement age, and I am surprised that have managed to keep it as low as 62 this long.

What has that got to do with the retirement age? The retirement age is far more likely to be affected by lifespan than immigration

Because I have no interest in presenting information that is already common knowledge to someone whose country is extremely hostile to illegal immigration.

Why don't you go on petition your government that you want a bunch of illegal immigrants?

There may be quite a bit more to the full topic though........
as you will see if you have a free hour to watch a recent interview by Mr. Elon Musk........

    Older workers are highly productive.....

many younger workers are terribly inefficient......

"Elon Musk reveals his Knowledge on Aliens, Challenges Putin to UFC and predicts WW3"

Productive younger immigrants from other nations assist in paying for social programs for an aging population.

"The new legislation means citizens will be forced to work until 64, up from 62, to receive the full pension."

and in the USA it's been raised to 67 and some want to raise it to 70 - it's sad

that average life expectancy, doesn't mean one should be forced to work until that age

yes, technology can keep people alive longer, but quality of life also counts

how long must the elderly be forced to work

I am sixty three and I would like to retire at sixty five.......
but I actually do like the physical work out that my blue collar job gives me for forty hours per week......
so I may voluntarily continue to work after I turn sixty five????
