IDK. From what I have read the military brass convinced Trump not to make a fiasco withdrawal from Afghanistan, and tried to do it with The Buck Stops at My Hairy Legs but he refused to even entertain the idea. There is only so much the military can do in this regard. I don't fault them. I fault their Commander in Chief.
This is why it's important to protect whistleblowers. Those in the military don't even have the right to a jury trial. A military tribunal decides their fate. It's all ultimately run under the Presidency. Those in the military also don't have the same freedom of speech, freedom of the press rights that the rest of society has. I know there are many of you reading this who are incredibly ignorant about these things, but they are true.
