I am always amazed at how difficult it is for some to understand the basic and easily understood premise of atheism.
The "practicing" Christian knows there is no science behind their belief, nor any justification. Sort of a sleight of hand is to say atheists are attacking or hate their made-up deity friend who will cure all their problems as soon as they die. Truth is, we try not to be condescending or roll our eyes when you guys go on your intellectual-free rants, happy that you can be complacent and serene with your god-crutch. It's only when you violate our rights or proselytize to the point of invading our personal space that we rebel and sometimes get nasty. Another truth, deep inside you guys don't even believe your own crapola, it's just that you are so weak that you would follow anything to avoid facing your own destiny and the fact that you alone made it.
Ditto. When you choose to become inflammatory instead of discussing things civilly, expect the same in return.
Such an insightful denial of the basis premises of debate. I simply cannot suggest this book enough. http://www.oup.com/us/catalog/gener...s/CriticalThinking/?view=usa&ci=9780195377927
Man, it looks like a useful book, but a paperback priced at $82.95?? That's got to be a textbook. And that helps show just what an overpriced mess college is turning into. The books are about as bad as the tuition rates.
I suggest that it is you who don't understand the basics of debate. Questerr made an accusation; it is not up to me to prove it wrong.
