OK, so if you can accept that miracle as true, then fatima prophecy #3 can be too. the church (religion) is to be over 'we the people' (mankind) destroys it kind of like Dan 7;8........ (three horns; three religions of abraham)
Surely God has enough power to knock loud enough for me to hear it over the TV. Why do you have to blame people for what is clearly God's failure to communicate? More likely God is an inconsequential wimp who can't knock his way through wet toilet paper. Even more likely, there is no knock because there is no God. I am so sick of these "true believers" who base their belief on someone else's guilt.
Twelve is an obviously symbolic number anyway, one disciple for each of the twelve tribes of Israel ostensibly unified under the prophesied Messiah, casting doubt on the veracity of the tale.
PSST...how many months in a year? The GAWD-SON is surrounded and accompanied by 12 deciples. When and IF some GAWD comes a knockin' it had better have some pretty darn good reasons for the mess it made here.
Jesus Christ doens't come down from Heaven because its not time. When the time comes, He will. The condition of the world in its sins, misery, and turmoil, will be played out in its fullness, as God has planned. And, you aint seen nothing yet. Quantrill
This was basically the preacher's message at Cowboy Church last Sunday. He called it the 'but first' syndrome. Described how he was planning to go to town for supplies, on the way to his truck, noticed the cows had gotten out... so, before could leave for town, had to put the cows back up. Then noticed the electric fence was down, so before he could put the cows up, had to go in the garage for tools to fix the electric fence. Said we all experience that 'tug on our hearts' by God. Whether it's sitting in church or watching a sunrise, or whereever it happens to hit... we can feel him calling us to come into his presence and listen to his plan for us. Instead of allowing ourselves to be pulled closer to God, many times we use the 'but first' excuse. "I've got a wedding to go to next month and I plan to party there, so I'll wait til that's over before vowing to live a more Christian life." But first... His message was... don't wait too long because we never know when it'll be our last chance to choose salvation. Good sermon... missed posting it in the Cowboy Church thread... glad you provided the opp to post it here. God works in mysterious ways, doesn't He?
As do I. And I owe no explanation to some fictitious "Sky-King" for the good AND bad I've done in my life. The sooner you people realize that deifying and personifying the force of life in the universe...is ABSURD...the better off we'll ALL be.
I always find it interesting the most ardent liberals are also atheists. Must be something about an over-abundance of hate in their hearts.
I always find it interesting the most ardent conservatives as also myth-fearing theist. Must be because they do not have a conscience on their own, so they need to look at myths for their 'moral compass'.
Nope, no knocking on my heart. I drove from SD back up to OC last night from 10pm to 11:30PM, all by myself....Didnt hear any knocks of voices in my head or any of that. Then again, I dont suffer from Schizophrenia either. See above. If this 'god' is omnipresent, then this absurd idea of hiding behind furniture would do no good. Speaking of being omnipresent. If this 'god' is omnipresent, then why can't we detect him? If he's everywhere, it shouldn't be hard to find him. If we can talk pictures of atoms, then surely we can of this 'god'. If there is a good science TV show on, I would too. After all science gives real answers, not fake gibberish that your 'god' supposedly gave up. These people are smart enough to realize that the knocking they hear is a mild form of Schizophrenia, so they ignore it. And these are the people that allow their mild form of Schizophrenia to manifest itself into a bad case of Schizophrenia.
Ahhhh, another pleasant atheist is heard from. Isn't it interesting that most atheists are also big Obama supporters? Must be true... when men cease to believe in God, they'll fall for anything.
Don't you find yourself suffering just a little bit of cognitive dissonance when you react so negatively to someone merely reflecting your own post against you? You must be at least this self aware, surely.
What's negative about pointing out the fact that lots of atheists seem to support Obama? Guess the truth stings a little, eh, AllEvil?
What relevance does someones political leanings have to do with it? Political support of Obama is far removed from the God fearing mentality of theists.
We have been down this road before on several occasions, I voted for Bob Barr – the LIBERTARIAN candidate for President. I vote my conscience – something I naturally have, unlike the myth-fearing righties who NEED a myth for their moral compass. Speaking of a moral compass, isn’t one of the 9th commandment: Thou shalt not bear false witness? I believe it is. Seeings how you know I’m not a Obambi supporter, isn’t this a violation of the 10 commandments? Hmmm...I believe it is. Funny how the myth-fearing righties cannot even follow the moral compass the myth says to have! You should take the first 5 letters out of your handle and insert a 4 letter word word...and no, not that 4 letter word, the one that starts with 'd'
According to your signature, you seem rather obsessed with money. One of the seven deadly sins. Not surprising.
No, I’m just smart enough to realize that the 536 ass clowns we have running around in DC are ruining this country and how to protect my wealth. It doesn't surprise me you do not understand this. As a myth-fearing sheeple, you have lost the ability to think for yourself and will gladly follow your RepubliKKKan and Dumbocrate cohorts (they are one in the same after all) to the slaughter house. Let me know how bible tastes when that is all that you have left to eat. Better yet, ask 'god' for some food – see of you get any! EDIT: I should say 535 Ass-clowns....Ron Paul isnt an ass clown...he is our only hope! Of course, hes more of a LIBERTARIAN than a RepubliKKKan.
Um, no we don't. We vote for politicians, but that is a far cry from worshiping and never speaking out against a man for fear of being eternally condemned. I would assume you would understand what his signature meant. I suppose investing fiat currency into precious metals is an obsession? Or common sense? It may be a difficult point to see, especially from way up there on your high horse, however is it fairly obvious.
