Since I’ve been on this forum I’ve encountered a lot of conservative bashing of the EPA, which has puzzled me to no end, because most of what they bash it about has nothing to do with what is actually wrong with the EPA.

Like any government branch or agency, the EPA has it’s share of corruption and problems, their investigators are often ex-employees of the very companies they are supposed to investigate, and often they have a bad habit of dropping their standard to allow companies and offenders to pass inspection, but that’s not what Republican’s even care about! They want to get rid of the EPA simply because they stand in the direct line of total exploitation profit.

Here is an excellent article outlining exactly where and why the Republicans fuel their hatred for the EPA, and once again showing the twisted, irresponsible, self destructive, and morally wrong values of the Republican party..
Seriously, no comic book villains ever dreamed up can compare to the backwards agendas of the GOP in the modern age!

Why we hate the EPA and will one day destroy it:

    1. They seek to regulate every aspect of our lives, even to the point of controlling what people do with trees and ponds on their own land.

    2. They promote the global warming myth. Government should not be in the business of helping Al Gore hunt down Manbearpig.

    3. Their burdensome regulations are rolled into the cost of everything we buy and hurt employment, wages, and pay increases because of their unnecessary burden.

    4. There is no constitutional mandate for the EPA. It isn't listed in any of the 18 enumerated powers in the Constitution. Moreover, there is nothing that the EPA does that can't be done more efficiently and with more common sense by state run agencies.

    5. Because the wacky Leftisphere LOVES the EPA.

We will dismantle the EPA once we get the white house and all of Congress. Were you laughing when Obamacare was run roughshod over our objections? It's our turn to laugh.

We are the Tea Party. Count our numbers.

The EPA goes too far. Way too far.

They put plants and animals above humans to the point of ruining peoples' lives.

They cut off the water in the Cali growing areas for a stupid little bait fish.
Hell, those farmers feed the world.

They hurt the farmers and people everywhere with that, and that's just one example.

My thought exactly.. when I heard them make a bull (*)(*)(*)(*) "danger finding" against a harmless waste gas I expel with every breath.

The biomass of all of the earth puts out far far more CO2 than any industrial process. If we are causing global warming, it's because we merely exist and our industrial processes are infinitesimally small on global scales.

They suppressed information which supports that the CO2 shouldn't be registered as a pollute.

They have a war businesses in the fuel industry.

Has this country been better off with the EPA?

Like John Huntsman, I can't see any use for the GOP exploiters. All those wars have been fought before and they lost. Best I can see is that they want a return to the pre-Roosevelt years with sweat shops, black lung disease, and 80 hour work weeks for 9 year olds.

The EPA is a creation of the bankers who are against the USA. The EPA is to slow and destroy business and to take the land away from the people and give it to the bankers interests. The EPA is promoting UNITED NATIONS AGENDA 21 in the usa. They are Anti American to its core.

Good post OP. I can't imagine how bad the quality of our Lakes, Rivers, Streams, Oceans etc would be without the EPA to regulate. Corporations have shown time and time again they care only about profit and if the destruction of our natural resources is the by product of that, then they say so be it.

Here is just a small list of some of the important laws the EPA helps regulate:

    -Atomic energy act
    -Clean Air Act
    -Clean Water Act
-Comprehensive enviromental resonse and liabilty act (Cleans up hazardous waste sites)
-Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know act
-Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic act (you.. to keep poisons out of our food, and makeup for the ladies)
    -Occupational Safety and Health
    -Safe Drinking Water Act
    -Toxic Substances Control Act

This pea-brains saying blow up the EPA either have no idea what they are talking about, or clearly dont give a crap about this nations health and the health of it citizenry.

What does the Clean Water Act of 1973 have to do with a Obama using the EPA as an attack dog?

A business donates publicly to the GOP and suddenly finds an EPA investigator showing up, when the EPA hadn't been seen in years.

Just like S&P suddenly was investigated after doing the right thing.

    It's Chicago Politics writ large.

Those laws have nothing to do with the fact that Obama put a bunch of environmental whackjobs in control of the EPA. The kind of people who think that it's perfectly okay to use Government taxation as a means to raise the price of gasoline to European levels, or to double your utility bill as an "incentive" to sit in the dark.

Obama has put into charge of the EPA radical people with no real world working experience and they are abusing their power in an attempt to cow their political enemies into submission through regulatory fiat and to literally punish anyone who they tyrannically perceive to be "enemies of the Earth"

It's not that hard to figure out.

Actually no, that's not what I mean.

The same S&P that gave its highest ratings to toxic assets?

Rodents and insects aren't the only things that breat the air. We do too, in case you weren't aware.

The laws the EPA regulates have nothing to do with the EPA? Not exactly a winning argument.

We don't live in a dome separated from the world. It's why the air we breathe and the water we drink is regulated.

You don't live outside either. Air an be filtered and so can water. Since the EPA was enacted it hardly did anything to change pollution. It's just in business to enact their Climate Change agenda at the expense of everyone else.

Who do you think makes sure that the water you drink is filtered and clean? They oversee the regulations that make it happen. It's like you aren't aware of what the EPA does even on a basic level.

I never said they didn't. That should be their only concern. They've gone too far in the name of Global Warming by labeling CO2 a pollute. They've pretty much fought tooth and nail to stop and exploration of finding new energy.

Are we better off now that we can barely drill for our own oil?

Will we be better off if business have to decrease their production because they "pollute too much?"
